[QUOTE="MyopicCanadian"] [QUOTE="blazinpuertoroc"]broken bond is absolutely terrible, i played the demo and the fighting mechanics and graphics are just crap IMO. UNS is much better, broken bond has a better adventure mode though, thats it!MightyMuna
"that's it"? That's a deal-breaker for me. Fighting games with no online and no real story mode don't have any sort of lasting appeal. Rise of a Ninja was a great mix of combat and adventure game rolled into one.
then you are not a fighting game fan. its like shooter fan not buying BioShock because BioShock does not have online play then buys PDZ because it has.
gameplay matters the most, especially when its in the fighting genre. UNS fighting mechanics/gameplay > than BB's. in fact, there is no comparison.
but if you are going to buy a 'broken' fighter just because it has online play, then, I'm sorry to say, you have to sort out your priorities.
You are correct, I am not a fan of fighting games whose sole purpose is for playing by yourself against the computer, or playing when friends are over. In versus matches. That sounds extremely boring to me and rather half-assed. However, I disagree with your Bioshock analogy. There is so much content in that game that it is an excellent game to play on your own, for many hours without getting bored. A fighting game with no real story mode and no online is the complete opposite.. it's only worthwhile if you have friends over constantly to play the game.
My priorities are properly sorted.. I like playing fun games on my own, or playing the occasional match online. With Ninja Storm you'd have to have a circle of friends that practice and play the game regularly with each other to get the most out of it, which is not for everyone.
