Battle of Naruto: Broken Bond vs. Ultimate Ninja, IGN

So, IGN gave broken bond an 8.3

Ultimate Ninja got an 8.4

They said that Broken Bond is the bettter version though.  Wierd, but still great scores for naruto games.  It's a darn shame ninja storm doesn't have online.  : (

Broken Bond is definitly better. Graphics may not better but nowdays most people may more care about the Lasting Appeal(Broken Bond has online fonction and Ninja Storm doesn't have one).

So Clash of Ninja 2 got 8.2, Broken Bond got 8.3 and Ninja storm got 8.4. Good year for Naruto I guess. If only Dragon Ball Z could throw out a great game next year.SMR-Venom

Well DBZ is trash in general, although I loved it as a kid it just doesn't have enough depth and individuality to be good. Heck, all the character moves could be the same with different name/colors. 

Naruto's concept has a lot more room for developers to explore.

I much prefer N:UNS fughting system, it's infinitely more fun. However, I -really- do wish that it had an Online component. The VS is absolutely amazing, and hopefully it would translate well to online... Unlikely it'll happen tho, however, I suppose they could sell it as DLC in the future.

BUt as it stands, UNS>BB for me.

comparing BB to UNS, is like comparing PDZ to BioShock. just because a game has more features on papaer, does not make it better.  

UNS has better graphics, better presentation, better animation and most importantly, better gameplay. other than online, there is nothing BB has over UNS. also, story mode (which is still weak)

BB is stiff, combat is weak, everything is a mini game. also its a fighting game, one is made by Namco and the other is made by Ubisoft. that alone makes a huge difference

BB's focus lies in the adventuring, that's why it's better. UNS's focus lies in the fighting, therefor, it's better.

I really cant believe people are actually comparing BB to UNS. honestly, you have to be a 360-only owner to think BB is better than NUNS. I have played both, well to be fair, I played the BB demo and the full NUNS game.

it is a great game. but due to this modern gamers, where they want everything to have some sort of online mode. they underscored NUNS. dude, forget about internet reviews, play the demo, if you like it, purchase it, if you dont, dont purchase it. its that simple. stop letting reviews (a random guy's opinion) affect your decisions.

it's just disappointing, that after so many naruto games, they still are sticking to the old younger characters.

You are correct, I am not a fan of fighting games whose sole purpose is for playing by yourself against the computer, or playing when friends are over. In versus matches. That sounds extremely boring to me and rather half-assed. However, I disagree with your Bioshock analogy. There is so much content in that game that it is an excellent game to play on your own, for many hours without getting bored. A fighting game with no real story mode and no online is the complete opposite.. it's only worthwhile if you have friends over constantly to play the game.

My priorities are properly sorted.. I like playing fun games on my own, or playing the occasional match online. With Ninja Storm you'd have to have a circle of friends that practice and play the game regularly with each other to get the most out of it, which is not for everyone.
