No, Im not a blind fanboy, but it has to be the Halo theme song.

Unparalleled.

The theme song from Highlander owns any theme song on television or in video games. :|

But the best video game theme song is the Zelda theme.

I wanted to limit the scope of the poll to one game per console sompany. There were many other great tunes I wanted to use (including Duke Nukem BTW) but these three were the best IMO. Besides, they're all electric guitar versions, which I thought was cool.

I remember the FF one in Kingdom hearts 2. Great track.

The MP track and Halo theme are great too.

From that list, I would say Halo probably.

But in all honesty, there has only been 1 game where I have actually STOPPED playing in order to hear the whole song, and that belongs to Super Metroid -- Brinstar. i still love the piano solo close to the end.

This is BS. How is the Halo theme song leading? The Halo theme song has to be the most boring one I've ever heard. And I'm not saying this because I hate Halo because I don't. I didn't even notice it when I played through the first one because it's the type of song that you hear in movies or shows but pay no real attention to. The only good thing I can say is it fits in well with the Halo's outer space and aliens universe.

Huh, I thought Phendrana Drifts sounded like something else. I must have heard the wrong song the last time someone posted it on GS. This one's pretty boring to be honest, all it does it repeat the same tune over and over.

Sephiroth's theme song is actually pretty original compared to the other 2 but it's never been a favorite of mine. To Zanarkand, is seriously good.

People should listen to soundtracks from Shadow Of The Colossus, Riviera, Final Fantasy Tactics and Legend Of Mana. They're brilliant.

The Halo one is the best of the three up there. At least, the Mjolnir Mix is. That is just an awesome song.

But Zelda should take the top.

EDIT: And One-Winged Angel is a bloody cliche. Really, the whole "Latin choral chant" thing just gets overplayed sometimes.
