So It's been 6 months since the release of battlefield 3. I remember hyping this game up like crazy before it came out. So what is everyone's opinion on this now? Has it changed? It's personally my favourite game.

Why do people think so bad about this game? It's actually a really good game if you know what to do.
Haven't played it in months and have no desire to go back. There's nothing wrong with the game, I just don't want to play multiplayer FPSs anymore unless they have some unique gameplay additions.
BF3 is a great playing game. One of the best FPS games around and will continue to get stronger over the coming year.
Once you learn how to play it properly you will have a total blast with it
It was all internet hype.
Oh, and EA also spent $747 billion dollars last year on viral marketing, paying people to go on internet forums, and youtube videos and hype up Battlefield 3 and say Call of Duty is the worst game ever made, etc.

Best Modern Shooter but its a modern shooter... so, meh. I want BC3 over BF3.silversix_
Screw Bad Company 3, I want Bad Company 2143. Put those four dudes in the f*cking future.

Yea, I caught that mistake. I meant to type millions. I know the BF3 marketing budget was $100 million though because I remember E.A. boasting about it[QUOTE="Wasdie"][QUOTE="StrongDeadlift"]

It's decent, I've played just over 3 days play time of multiplayer. It's no game changer but the best multiplayer FPS in quite a while. I still play COD4 quite regularly though, just seems so timeless even after 12 days playtime. Haven't played any of the other CODs for more than a couple days playtime.gamebreakerz__
Really? I still play Cod2 & Cod3 but found Cod4 to be a big F -in Turd. I haven't liked any Cod since when it comes to multiplayer.

:? Makes me feel bad for having over 140 Hours in BF3 now :P
Which will probably more than double this year
BF3 is a great multiplayer experience but i got bored of it the 1st week of release. Haven't touched it in months. I went back to Battlefield Bad Company 2 which i feel is a much better experience on consoles than BF 3 is
BF 3 is better for PC, the maps are too big on consoles for just 24 players. Overall i still like the Bad Company series better. They just have the right formula for multiplayer
the problem with battlefield is its more of a team based game i remember playing in BC2 doing great getting lots of kills but would often lose the game...metal_zombie

I know how to play the game I just find it boring. Though you are right I need to stop playing MP I should just stick to open world games where i can do whatever i want.metal_zombieYou're getting lots of kills but losing the game. Start actually playing the objective and winning, instead of just going for the K/D ratio and losing. That's the point of BF, not caring about K/D but instead actually playing the objective. You clearly DO NOT know how to play the game.

I understand what you are saying that i have to play the objective. what you don't seem to get is that i don't want to. Its not fun I rather just run around getting kills instead of planting a bomb and getting killed[QUOTE="metal_zombie"]I know how to play the game I just find it boring. because technically... it flopped here, hence why we call it a flopWhy does everyone think that this game is a flop?

I have yet to play it,besides that horrible beta.
If they're making another BC,they shouldn't forget to put that BC1 humor into it.
Seems they totally forgot when they were developing BC2.

Dissapointing in terms of small things.
Still don't understand the no split screen and there is no reason for consoles to have such a small player count the game itself feels unpopulated...
If Jets disappered next update I would not miss them... 90% of jet users contribute NOTHING to the team and new players are sitting ducks in jets because of absolutly stupid balance issues in terms of leveling up.(new players need at least a FIGHTING chance instead of spotting and praying)
Disappointing.SaltyMeatballsYou must be a consolite. It's one of if not the most impressive multiplayer game ever. Game maxed with 64 players is simply insane.
