Battlefield 3 has crashed three times on me in the first hour for PC.

Thats right, i cant even get out of the first area because the game keeps crashing. COD has never done something like this, or for that matter, not many games launch in such a bad state. This is such a letdown after the excitment of the midnight release...

I'm not sure if its like this on consoles or not but the "superior" PC version sure is a let down.

Wierd, I have played for 8 hours today and not one crash!

The coop ran flawless and the multiplayer was good for the most part but a few bugs did annoy me. The campaign also ran very well, no crashes or slowdowns.

Im using the new nvidia drivers that got released this morning.

Update your video drivers recently? Not hearing many people sharing your complaint online, so I'd guess something on your end isn't up to snuff...

That's what PCs do. You should have got the game on a console if you wanted to be able to play it immediately.

Its DICE, what do you expect. Ask yourself. Have you EVER played a DICE game that wasnt a glitchfest and bugfest? The only game I can think of is Mirrors Edge and it was developed with Unreal Engine 3 which was already ironed out and perfected by another developer.

I'm about half way through the campaign with zero crashes and zero stutters. I have not installed the latest Nvidia drivers though.

Try lowering your settings/fiddling around with the options?

Perhaps you've just avoided the worst offenders, but numerousgames have released on the HD consoles this gen in a broken state - either online or in some instances, the SP campaign (Dead Island beinga great recent example...of both). It stinks really, but it's true.

No crashes here and running real smooth on ultra. What are your specs? SAGE_OF_FIRE

Yes instead you get 30 fps, no AA and sub HD resolution :roll:

Even your example of undesirable performance on PC is still better than consoles.

My only problem is admins are really kick happy. :(
