Battlefield 3: Is it the universal graphics king?

On Ps3 I've never seen better graphics online. But SP wise it gets beat by a bunch of games

I've read UC3 looks worse than Gears 3. I have also read that Aliens have been on earth.

Just installed this on 360 including HD pack and Ihave just finishedthe Air Mission section, so I can only comment until this point. Crysis 2 at night is far superior to the BF3 night section so its not universal graphic king in my opinion. Gears 3 and Crysis 2 look better on 360 to be honest. I have seen some direct feed footage on PC and it looks mighty impressive on that format.

On pc maybe but on consoles bf3 looks like ass hell black ops looks just as good.

Ive just been playing Crysis 1 with a few mods and im really not sure which game looks better. Imo I think BF might just beat it, its a tough call.

its definatly a contender on the pc version im playing it on a phenon II 955 8 gig ddr 3 and a 5850 1gb, im using 1920x1200 thats 1200p for console guys :)

every thing set to high with 16x af and im getting rapid smooth fps dont know how much exactly but it feels perfect, i can whack stuff up to ultra settings but then it feels a bit low fps, so i leave it on every thing high.

oh the foilage in crysis is better up close but every thing else is pretty close lol

screw you dice my pc was ready for you this time lol when bf2 launched i had a crappy 5900xt fx and a gig of ram damn it sucked lol

Yeah the rocks arent that great in Crysis. BF has some very nice, sharp looking indoor sections that remind me of Mirrors Edge. :cool:

The weapons certainly look better in BF. I can see a lot more detail.

gotta admit though i spent some time earlier getting side tracked just looking at the rocks next to a river and it looked sweet as feck :)

just a bit dissapointed that it is more like bad company 3 rather than a battlefield 3, eg no stamina bar and every thing feels a bit arcadey like veichile regen etc

Ive been doing the same thing. I took about 30 screenshots today....Have another! :D

I also found myself looking at the water effects when the sprinkle system came on.

I just took this in Crysis. I have modded textures and modded rocks and the game is on max settings! They certainly arnt great. I average about 30-40fps in Crysis, yet in BF I get a consistant 54-60fps.

It's best on PC, but it's not best on 360 or PS3. On 360 the best looking game is Gears 3, on PS3 the best looking game is Uncharted 3.

When people post screenshots and tell you a certain game looks good, why would people judge based on anything else besides its visuals? :|

sure it looks great on pc, but it plays like any generic military shooter and has no story to speak of. *goes back to uncharted 3*

Pfft not even close. UC3 has crappy textures and way too much blur.

Battlefield 3 is king, nothing comes close except The Witcher 2 :D

Nowhere near the quality graphics on ps3 as uncharted 2 and 3 have. Or killzone 3 for that matter.
