Battlefield 3 vs Modern Warfare 3- What Will It Take To Win?

What a year for video games. With the release of two behemoth titles on the horizon, there is going to be tension as to which one is better. If you haven't guessed yet, I'm talking about Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3. Both are set to release Fall of this year, and both will be going head to head as to who takes the title of "Best FPS". There are many things to think about. First off, both games have a die hard fan base. We have the Battlefield type, who love the tactical side of things, and then we have the Call of Duty players who love the adrenaline rush of balls-out action. You could say that because they are such different games, they cannot possibly be compared. But I say nay!

BF3 will be superior, technically(fact) and quality wise( 99.9% convinced).

Unfortunately, since CoD is a known title amongst the casual market, it'll sell millions, like always. It's popularity is fueled by it's once great past(1, UO, 4), and by it's marketing. The fanboys ofcourse love popular 'ish. (not people that like the game, respect to them, just the blind fanboys)

Just like Lil' Wayne. (Carter 1&2 good albums, has ben complete trash since then, though is still popular)

Yeah, Call Of Duty has a the behemoth marketing behind it that HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars have bought it, and that millions more will buy it.

The masses will buy it because they have been told that they have to.

The games are always rehashes of the same thing in the same engine.

They are not bad games, but neither are they befitting of the hype they get. The publisher BOUGHT that hype with marketing.

Battlefield will be superior to CoD like it always has been. But CoD will succeed it in sales simply because of its name.

Mw3 for me, i enjoy the CoD games so much, its more about having fun to me than pretty graphics

COD: MW3 will beat BF3 in terms of sales. It doesn't matter if BF3 gets a perfect 10 while MW3 gets a 7 or 8, little kids and the rest of the COD sheeps will still end up buying MW3 more and thinking that it is a new game. Well MW3 will win in sales. No matter what BF3 does, it can't beat the advertising and the CoD name.

MW3 for intense action-packed campaign and bf3 foe excellent mp.

A miraculous epiphany occurs to all the COD fanboys that they've been playing the same game over and over again.

Unless that happens, no way will BF3 actually win sales-wise.

Modern Warfare 3 will be the better game imo i will get BF3 tho since i like FPS's, but im glad there won't be many BF3 players on the MW3 MP, since i guess the game isn't tactical enough for them, ah well, enjoy your tactical shooting, tactical camping, tactical whining and tactical grenade throws in BF3.

not really interested in either tbh.... have not seen any MP footage for either one. I will get both, but I'm ify about MW3 since its being made by 3 devs, and not the old IW.

I only care about what effects me, and Ill be happily playing BF3 without even thinking or caring about a care bear game like COD.

Its made for the fast food casual gaming community with Cheesey shooting mechanics including no bullet drop, no recoil, no skills required, its for scrubs. My mother who has never played a game in her life could kill people in COD on her first try, its that bad. BF on the other hand actually required experience and skill to learn to use each weapon, and you cant just hold down the trigger and get kills, it requires skill. So by "made for you" he meant that as a very bad thing, Just thought id clear that up.
