Nobody even touches the SP of most FPS games anyway. So why waste resources?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Maybe in the next one it will just be 0 hours long and all focus goes to MP. No one cares about battlefield single player.
This is on pace with each new gen of consoles. 20-50GB average size for next gen game=3 hrs gameplay.
Seems worth it.
Why does a BF game even need a SP? I never touched the SP in BF3 and i will most likely do the same in BF4.
I loved playing the Battlefield 3 campaign on my big screen. The battles are epic, the vehicle levels are awesome, and the story actually got quite good...
HAHA why they even bother?
Titanfall doing it right IMO putting all man power in MP where people care about
2-4 amazing SP is better than 12hrs snoozerfest like some games today are...
But i guess CoD SP will be better than BF SP like always:P
I like SP if it is good:P
Given that Battlefield 3's campaign was a massive piece of shit, I wouldn't give them the benefit of the doubt.
Battlefield 4 single player experience could be 30 minutes and Ill still buy the game because its all about the multiplayer. If your buying this game for singleplayer, your simply doing it all wrong.
This is exactly why everyone who complained about Titanfall not having a single player is an idiot. Games like this don't need a campaign.
I'd much rather 100% of their time and effort went into the multiplayer. The campaign in BF4 seems more like tech demo to just show off their engine really.
That's fine, since you have to complete it to get weapon unlocks. some guy on my battlelog seemed to enjoy it
If it's anything like 3 it'll be worth a quick blast through just to look at the pretty graphics and that'll be about it.

I don't think i ever finished the BF3 singleplayer.

Same. I got to the tank level and knocked it on the head.

It can work like a tutorial for new players how all equipment works etc
That's one of the worst problems with BF3's campaign really, it doesn't play like the multiplayer at all. You don't learn a damn thing about what the vehicle combat is like or how to handle combined arms situations, it's just a big stupid shooting gallery.

I think I stopped somewhere around the level where you're shooting at cops in France for some reason I can't remember.
Man, that campaign was absolutely abysmal.
I feel like Battlefield is the reverse of most video games, the tacked on Campaign tends to hurt the multiplayer experience. I would rather not have the campaign then have a pitiful campaign. The first Bad Company's campaign was great for a Battlefield game, it was explosive, silly, over-the-top, never took itself seriously, was colourful, and the gameplay was similar to Halo: Combat Evolved where you were given a large level with the freedom to move about as you pleased either on foot or in a vehicle. Bad Company 2 was far more linear and ruined the self-awareness and light-hearted fun of the Bad Company, and then Battlefield 3 went straight into a generic corridor shooter, with too few vehicle sections (most of which were on-rails), and extreme linear level design. In Bad Company you flew a gold-plated helicopter while shooting down enemies on the ground and in the air. Comparatively in Battlefield 3 you were only the gunner on a jet fighter. I think the main problem with the current Battlefield direction is that it tries too much about beating Call of Duty and appealing to the Call of Duty audience instead of focusing on being Battlefield.
