BF4's MP looks so awesome. The more I see it the more I want to play it. Desmonic
It looks a LOT like BF3 but as long as it's a more refined and polished BF3 I will love it. The audio sounds so much meatier tooÂ

It's similar to BF3 yes, but (from what I've seen) for the better. You can actually see enemies now! :o No more giant as f*ck sun casting ultra dark shadows and blue tint everywhere.. Also the water battles seem fun. The destruction of the map adds a layer of depth (even though, for the most part it'll get old fast) since capturing objectives now becomes a dynamic and almost tactical task of attacking, defending and destroying. I'm excited for it personally, I feel they are making a lot of right moves as far as the MP goes. Battlelog and the whole commander stuff is a massive plus as well. Second screen mini map... that's just a dream come true and geo leaderboads look intriguing. A refined BF3 will keep me happily riding the DICE train :)The only thing im worried about is it all being conquest, which sucks. Conquest assault is so much better. Or Rush, but with rush bad company did it so much better than BF3 (other than operation metro).
I just hope BF4 doesn't turn into another game where i hope on operation metro everyday and nothing else.
So, its like spectator mode from this gen? Also, is that the PC version?clyde46
Most likely PC footage yeah

Like Support still has C4 and Assault seems to have med kits. I want the BC2 classes back with Recon having the C4 and having a dedicated Medic class with LMGs. Assault having the best guns and infinite health (more or less) is just too overpowered
It look same. I never like how character react to being shot in battlefield game. Makes look cartoon, bullet sponging and body moving and bend unnatural...Mr-KutaragiThere's not really another way to do it. It's like that in every game. If that was made realistic you'd drop on the spot and be dead lol.

This game is among worst imo in bullet reaction considering other aspect like destruction are well done. Like, back becomes rubber and stretching and body bends weird. Maybe since next gen can do cloth physic better as well to hide this.

The character does seem a bit spastic, like it hurts a lot but just straightens up afterwards. I'd rather they had barely any animation compared to this. I think it's the same as in BF3 however, which looked kinda lame as well. I just ignored it though.

-Recon has been shown to possess C4.Â
-Support doesn't have C4. (unless they're planning on giving it to multiple classes in the final release, but it's unconfirmed at this point)
-Support was given the XM-25. (this is probably the replacement for C4)
-Medics do appear the same as BF3. (although you can mix and match your equipment instead of having defibs 100% of the time)
-Recon now has motion balls like BC2. (I saw a screencap that showed the TUGS icon in the loadout menu, but I don't know if that's enough to confirm their return)

Is exactly same of current gen BF game, standing out worse because many recent game is better animation. Maybe more notice because 3rd person view, but I notice bad animation when shooting enemy or watch teammate shot in BF3 too. Works for Bad COmpany series because is more funny series and not serious, but does not work in more realistic main series. And because so many bullets to kill in BF game, looks more cartoon being shot with many bullet and bad animation.
Battlefield isn't a milsim. Never was.Â

I never claim was ARMA. Please stop grasp. I said is more serious than bad company, and if you play story this is obvious.[QUOTE="HavocV3"][QUOTE="Mr-Kutaragi"] Is exactly same of current gen BF game, standing out worse because many recent game is better animation. I'll reiterate: Battlefield isn't a milsim. Never was.

battlefield 2 of 8 years ago and different engine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIZhjG5JjFE MP doesn't have story, what the hell talking about? :\ I'll reiterate: Never say BF is ARMA. Never did. Just disappear, because making fool at this point and pointless arguing. You cannot dispute that main BF series is more serious than Bad Company, and animation is poor and reuse from goof series.-Recon has been shown to possess C4.Â

I remember watching the video and the class who blew up the tank was support and he used C4, but checking online now and seeing the loadout it appears Recon DOES have C4 again. Awesome! :DÂ
It looks so bland and souless. BF3 had the same issue but at least it had a shiney new engine to draw you in.Â

if they made medic the LMG again id stab someone at DICE. And recon is the c4 class again, as revelead in that bf4 thread I made a while back

Yeah I looked up some stuff now and it seems like it is with Recon again, thank God. Recon badly needed anti vehicle weaponry in BF3.Â
As much as I love wrecking house with the assault as a medic and getting big scores and streaks it really fvcks up the game modes. That's why BF3 is a disaster on some maps, cos assault is way OP and certain classes lack certain items. It's why BC2 has far better teamwork than BF3
They really need to take med kits off assault. Though they haven't
.... go play CoD... sounds more up your alley. The only thing im worried about is it all being conquest, which sucks. Conquest assault is so much better. Or Rush, but with rush bad company did it so much better than BF3 (other than operation metro).

It doesnt bother me that it may look close to BF3 considering that games looks great...

It has commander mode, so that makes it infinitely better than BF3. In fact, I wonder how much better BF3 would have been with Commander mode.Command mode and in-game VoiP. The enhanced destruction is awesome too. There are also a lot of player driven environmental mechanics that have a direct impact on the flow of  battle. Should be great.Â
For example players and open and close the windows in a shopping center at the lower level of a building. Closing them drops the metal chains and prevents players from going through there. Those little changes allow players to more dynamically control the routes that they and the enemy have to take. Should provide for some interesting combat.

Everything you listed is what has me optimistic about the game. I really feel like DICE made the "casual" BF game EA wanted and now that they've proven their style is better, they've sold them on "OK, here's what we really want to do. Will you just let us make the BF game people know we can make?" Fortunately EA seems to be listening these days -- fingers crossed. Please Log In to post.
