Battlefield Bad Company 2 Demo Launches Surprise Attack On Xbox 360

Not to be outdone by the impending release of a beta on the PC, the Xbox 360 has secured some Battlefield Bad Company 2 action of its own, with the surprise release of a demo.

Originally appearing in Australia overnight, the demo has now been downloaded - and played - by people all over the world. People who care not for the fact the demo wasn't supposed to be out until February 4; it's out now, servers are working, so they're going at it.

If you're worried about it being locked down by EA and/or Microsoft, don't sweat it: the early release has the official blessing of DICE, so have at it.

Good news to XBOX 360 gamer. Now go to download it!!!

The game is pretty cool...Although I'd prefer a SP demo.

It's so awesome. Took a while to get used to controls because they're different to BF1943 and it felt a bit more sluggish. Also I've never played Rush before, but, now I'm used to it it's epic, just won my first game of rush (Damn it's hard to win!)bobbetybob

Played the demo for 30min and I enjoyed the gameplay and sound a lot. The graphics are terrible so I'll get it for my i7 rig on day 1 and play it in glorious 1080p with dx11 @ 60 fps :):):)

Son of a ****! I already have Mass Effect 2 staring longingly at me, but I can't play anything right now due to exams. I swear, this weekend I will get to everything even if it kills me

hmm...Im not finding it to be awesome..did they totally rip out the killzone 2 control scheme or something? and feel? every move is exadgerated you move slow, like there is lag between when you shoot, move...ect and every action makes your screen do animation crap your scope moving cause a peice of snow hit you, a tank half way across the map shoots and your aim skews out of the way....bad company was nothing like this, and why cant you go prone? you were able too in battle fieldn 2 modern combat but cant in bad company and cant in this...

This is decidely not good to me this demo...Its the same problems i had with the ps3 beta exadgerated movements, every thing skewing your view, lol hell i had to turn off vibration cause it was all ways vibrating someone shooting an assault rifle near you should not make the controller vibrate...

someone else said this on giantbomb and my point over there applies here as well. bad company 1 wasn't like this, 1943 wasn't as well, Battle field 2 modern combat wasn't either....yet this one is....the only other game that has this weighty feel is killzone 2...and i loathed that game, a game doesn't have to be sluggish and movements exadgerated for it to be a slow and tactical game.

and how is that? by saying MAG is better then this ? if you feel that way then report me.
but im pretty sure the TOU outlines it pretty well, because i explained things, and gave my thoughts im allowed to say what my opinion is, whats considered trolling is just poping into the thread and saying MAG is better in a one setence line.

MAG feels sluggish and has a horrible FoV, I don't know how you think BFBC2 feels worse than that. MAG felt out of date, was very claustrophobic, had horrible sound.

so i went ahead and deleted the bc2 demo...I just couldn't stand playing it any more, battle field 2 modern combat didn't have the sluggish feel like every thing you did lagged, and you could go prone, I hated 1943 but it didn't have that sluggish feel either, BC1 i didn't like but got the majority of achievements for but it didn't have that sluggish feel...talk about taking the worst parts of killzone 2 and putting them in your game.

Ill be getting MAG before i ever get bad company 2...

I disagree mag had great sound, on a battle field if you heard as much sound every scream of someone dieing, every persons shots, every tanks shots and movement you'd go death, yet you can hear it in this in BC2 and you seem to be affected by every little thing, a tank the only tank on the round i was playing was no where near me but every shot it took made my controller vibrate and my sniper scope skew. and Mag doesn't feel sluggish mag is fast like call of duty, MAG felt claustrophobic? lol its maps are much larger then BC2's i never felt closed in on MAG.WilliamRLBaker

They either changed it a lot or we aren't playing the same game.

The maps are horribly built and are very ugly. The sound is VERY bland, sure you can hear alot of it, but it is all muffled. Bullets flying by you don't make that crappy whish and half-assed zip sound you hear in MAG.

Also I have never played a FPS with such a slow moving character as MAG. The FPS also slows down so much that the movement is very unprecise and very sluggish and the crappy controls didn't really help to much. MAG is nothing like MW2, it is slow and sluggish when compared.

BFBC2 is a bit more sluggish than MW2 but nowhere near MAG.

DOES XBOX ALLOW YOU TO DOWNLOAD STUFF WHILE your watching a dvd? i know on my ps3 i couldnt. but on 360 i can see when friends log on while in dvd mode. i dont remember if my ps3 did that. because i mostly stayed signed out of psn while watching a movie.
