It's very funny, Bad Company 2 had many MW reference like heart-beat sensor, spec ops, snow mobil, mile high club etc. Did anyone else found more reference?

Yeah I remember they had a trailer for it poking fun at Metal Gear Solid. It has Snake in a barrel or something so they just noob tubed it and his eye patch fell from the sky
BC2 is the better game in every way. That being said, DICE shouldn't have made fun of MW2 so much, it's like they are bullying the retarded kid in school.
Pug-Nasty
Wow dude. it's not better in every way. Battlefield NOT BAD COMPANY is the best. Bad Company is no where near as good as the original Battlefield series.

I didn't mention the original Battlefield series, I said it was better than MW2.
I don't play on PC, so I wouldn't be able to compare the BF's

But if you did then you would know that Bad Company 2 is going for the MW market audience. Yes it's very different but there are definanitly similarities that have been influenced by MW. But still BC2 is great and stuff but not as good as Battlefield 2 (a bargain and can run on any PC)

Is it like 1943? 'Cause I hated how that game played.

If you own a decent rig thats only a couple year old high tail it down to your local game shop or w/e website you choose and snag the old ones like 2,1942 for dirt cheap they still make a mockery of most modern FPS games out there.2 is just godly in comparrasin to most shooters and after about 4 years of release Dice still found the time to patch it and throw us the booster packs for nout i know acti wouldnt do that with any CoD game.
haha yeah... they do poke fun at MW2 alot :P there's at least 3 occasions i can think of:
When the guy says "Don't tell them! otherwise they'll send some spec ops d**chebags with heartbeat sensors"
Also that fake charity video about raising awareness to nade spamming
On the other hand I enjoyed the reference to MGS4 in BC1 alot more! the video was amazing!
The first BC2 had better story IMO, while the second one had the better gameplay.GrandJury
Yea, the first one was very funny campare to BC2 but the crappy control turn me off, the camara also give me a headache, but BC2 fix that. Let's hope BC3 will have the amount of humor in the first one and gameplayof the second.
I agree with the heartbeat sensor sentiment, but I don't understand why they would poke fun at riding a snowmobile.

Maybe because MW2 is the only FPS that have a snow mobile mission and they are trying to look cool while riding it, but IDK.
"Who the hell wear a cowboy hat to battle (reference to Captain Price, though later they said Dallas Cowboys)?"

I actually prefer Bad Company to BF2: Fly or Die Edition. Close Air Support made sense in 1942, but in modern times, helicopters would fill that role. Instead, BF2 gives us overpowered jets.[QUOTE="Pug-Nasty"]

That is so correct. I do play COD MW2 but I am highly anticipating BF3!

NOLF 1/2 had snow mobiles. Pretty sure that's largely irrelevant though :P.
I don't think they were being malicious. Fanboys just read too much into everything.I wish the BC2 campaign could actually compare to MW2. The references hold no weight whatsoever.

 Does my 2 year old laptop I use for school work and posting on these forums qualify as a "rig?" Seriously, I could barely run the Trine demo I d/l'd off steam, on the lowest settings, with a steady framerate. I wouldn't be surprised if Tetris was more than my Windows Vista POS could handle, as it can't even recognize it's own dvd drive (simply because it's Vista).
Thanks for the tip though. As I said in a previous post, I didn't like how 1943 played, even it was on ps3. I love BC2's gameplay/gunplay. It's the first shooter this gen that I've played where everything feels right, minus the clipping issues in the maps, but it's a small grievance.
A Dev has to be pretty confident in there game to make fun of other big franchise's and Bad Company got away with it, the game was awesome.
But the biggest embarressment was the guy's at volition game's who made fun of GTA4 with there Saint Row 2 trailer. Don't ever mock Rockstar it only makes you look stupid, especically when Saints Row 2 was terrible and GTA 4 a masterpiece

I haven't played SR2. I have head it's a better GTA game than GTA IV. Every time I put in GTA IV, I drive around for a few minutes, get in a gunfight, remember why I don't like it, and pack it away for another month until I forget about the gameplay again. Very impressive city, and nothing else IMO.

Well I, on the other hand, have both and played both extensively. From my experience, GTA4 is more polished and have better working mechanics, but the fun factor was way more on SR2 side than GTA4. None of those games have duplicated the fun factor found in GTA: SA, but between the 2 games, I would have to say that SR2 comes alot closer to SA fun factor than GTA4 does, and while the story in SA2 is cheesy, i believe that it's a comedy kind of cheesy.[QUOTE="razgriz_101"]

More blind Vista hate. A laptop isn't designed for gaming, it's a simple fact. If you don't like Vista, you should have chosen XP. Vista was the Crysis of Operating Systems, way ahead of its time when it comes to system requirements. Honestly, in this day and age of automatic updates, and one click driver updates, I'm suprised anyone still has trouble with driver incompatiblities.

"shall we tell HQ?"
"Hell no... They will just send a bunch of special ops **** with heartbeat sensors!"
It went something like that, and I would say it was too coincidental to not be a reference, especially considering that heartbeat sensors are future fiction.
I'd say it was pretty rich anyway considering that the campaign was the best part of MW2, and the worst thing about BC2.

Blind hate would be me having no reason not to hate it, not I bought a computer pre-loaded with an operating system that, incidentally, wasn't compatible with the hardware in the computer. I didn't choose Vista, as that was on laptops, all of them, at the time of purchase. It's an awful OS, I think anyone who thinks otherwise is the blind one.
