I have stuck up for DLC like the new mission for Mass Effect recently but this kind of stuff is simply awful and it's none other then the E.A. we all have come to love..... Not ! :?

Anywho, check this out - if true then there goes one of my anticipated multiplats for 2008 because I'm just not going to support this kind of DLC.

What do you think ?

This what happens when people pay for DLC so willingly. I hope you guys don't pay for those weapons or you are going to see alot more people charging you for crap that should already be in the game.

If everyone was like me thatn this crap wouldn't even exsist. I never buy DLC for games. Never ever. The reason is that they could have put the whole thing in the game but they just decided that they won't so they can milk us even more.

Well I say no sir! I won't ever buy DLC for any game. Include your crap in the game like it should have been in the first place. It's not like the devs don't have time. There are still a few months left till the game releases they have time to put those weapons in there if they wanted to.

So to know already that we have to pay for extra guns...it's massed up. The first EA game that was like that was NFS Pro-Street. Wich is a crap game anyway. Each car was $2.99 on PSN. It's just crazy!

No it's not DICE's decision! It's EA. I know of two companies who are doing that Microsoft and EA. and EA stands on first place in chargeing for DLC. As I said before look at NFS Pro-Street. Each car was $2.99.

I haven't seen another game that charge so much for so little.

I could understand games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero 3. They are constantly adding new songs. That's a different story. But when you have a game built and than you decide that oh...let's take out 10 guns and offer them for $X , that's really massed up! And in all honesty....EA is the big Evil here! EA could say that no!! Include all that crap in or we won't publish your game. But that is not what they are saying. What they are saying is, take out some content and we will charge for it as DLC.

It's business man!!

It's even worse as my understanding is these guns are ALREADY in the game and the DLC would just be the code or something that makes them available - that is just so over the top I can hardly believe it - I'm hoping it's just a nasty rumor.

Remeber NFS Pro-Street? The cars where already in there you just basicaly paid for the code to unlock them. EA sucks!

The news is absolutely rediculous! The best guns will have to be bought if the mp is going to be any fun I bet. If this is true I'm not buying the game full stop. Here's hoping Quake Wars and Unreal Tournament 3 are big hits on the 360 and this game gets forgotten about like it deserves. Its principle, we should not have to pay for a code to unlock something we have already bought on disc.

If this is true I'm not even going to buy the game, EA has been ripping us off for years and I'm not going to buy another EA game ever if they carry on.

Not only that but if BF2 is anything to go by, then they wont patch glitches, and wont bother with extra maps and stuff. This is milkage at its best.

Totally unacceptable.

i hate Ea as much as the next guy but im pretty certain that this will be the same as their other games, in which you will be able to purchase the weapons if you dont have the time to invest, but you will still prob be able to unlock them by playing through the game not a direction i particulary agree with but prob not as bad as some make out.

Ah, I didnt know that, fair enough then.

Hopefully Battlefield 3 wont be like that, they know they wont get away with it on the PC.

something tells me its not like that, i think you actually have to purchase it before you could unlock it...its almost more than half of the total guns in the game

I strongly doubt it will DICE knows it cant pull this with the PC gaming community who would absolutley maul them.

I could see this happening with BF Heroes though - as the game is free and microtransactions based.

Knowing EA that could be true but surely even EA arent stupid enough to do this without realising the negative attention it would receive.
