Bayonetta 2 Reveal This week?

Eurogamer has an article.

Platinum Games could be about to go public with a follow-up to its acclaimed action title Bayonetta, judging bya Tweetfrom director Hideki Kamiya.

In response to a question from a follower as to when a sequel might be announced, Kamiya replied "This week... in a game magazine...", according toAndriasang's translation.

Of course, he could be pulling our legs, but with Tokyo Game Show kicking off in just over a fortnight, that timing doesn't sound too far-fetched.

This isn't the first we've head ofa Bayonetta sequel. Last October, Platinum founder Atsushi Inaba said "We would love to make a sequel to it when the time is right". A month prior to that, when asked whether we could expect more from the franchise, Kamiya said "I believe so".

We've asked Sega for comment, and will update if a confession is forthcoming.eurogamer

That would be great if it is. I love Platinum Games. Vainquish, Bayonetta are amazing. I never got to play MadWorld & their DS game though. I'm looking forward to Anarchy Reigns. I hope this is a sequel.

i was too big of a n00b for bayonetta...that game was handing it to me on even normal mode.

OMG :o I hope is true, i freaking loved Bayonetta, its one of my favorite games this gen and my absolutely favorite action game of all time, it is time for Platinum to show Capcom how to make things the right way.

Infinite Space is really a NudeMaker game. They're also making Terror of the Stratus for the PSP.

I'd be really excited if it was localized since I don't understand Japanese. The PSP's getting such a strong send off in Japan so I hope those games are brought to the Western hemisphere in some manner (I'd love to play Type-0 on the Vita since I hate the claw to no end).

I'd prefer it to be a Vanquish sequel, or more preferably a new IP. Bayonetta really didn't do it for me.

The mecha segments look real bad, I love mecha games too much to allow that.

I would love a sequel to Bayonetta, I just hope that this time they get the PS3 right

I suggest you play DMC1&4, they are pretty damn good games, and i'll also suggest.. no, i'll tell you to play DMC3: SE. That game is in a league of its own.

I kind of hope they keep everything how it was (mechanics such as wicked weaving/combo chaining) but just add new weapons/combos. Of course it needs new enemies, bosses, stages, and the like but if everything at it's core is left the same, I'll be a happy camper. well, maybe they can add more weapons slots for more variety (such as 3 to 5 sets of weapons instead of 2).Some-Mist

Yes! Super excited for Anarchy Reaigns. Would love a Bayonetta 2. You really need to play Madworld! One of the greatest mindless games. Platinum is indeed awesome.

I think it could be cool a Jeanne spin off after the Witch Hunt.

However, i prefer a story where Jeanne and Bayonetta have to fight against the Demons that gave them their powers, i remember Rodin saying that at the moment of their Dead, Demons get the Witches souls or something like that.

Would prefer Platnium to keep making new IPs but im not going to complain.
