Yup. I played the game, its trully astounding. Demo or videos wont do justice.
Bayonetta being really good is'nt exactly news :D
Neither is the fact that it's aparently somewhat broken on the ps3 (personally it did'nt seem that way in the demo but I'll assume it's true).

it got A- on PS3 so still a very good score if you own PS3 only I still recommend it I beat the Japanese version on PS3 and its still great I prefer it on any Hack'n'slash game I played till now.

QFT.
I played the 360 version, and while its superior, doesnt mean the Ps3 version is "rubbish". Apart from loading times and sum frame rate hic ups, its still a brilliant game. Game has so much replay value, combat is trully amazing, and the techniques you require in the game is astounding. Music and story may not be its strong point, but thats like saying "im going to watch a porn movie for its plot" lol :P Story is still there, music can be played off your HDD (your own personal music), so no problems there :)

Well the story was decent lol.
i thought the demo was just meh, i am sure the 360 fans will love this game, I myself will be playing God of War III. good scores though.InfiniteBlak
I more think that Devil may cry fans will enjoy this game :P
360 fans that want a game like God OF war will probably turn to Dantes Inferno.
i thought the demo was just meh, i am sure the 360 fans will love this game, I myself will be playing God of War III. good scores though.InfiniteBlakI love the damage control for yet another game better on the 360 then the PS3. So the damage control is to mention a game the can not be compared on both platforms  ?
I understand though , no honestly I do since the 360 has the better scoring library it just makes sense for PS3 fans to also not want to compare score/reviews for multiplat games. I mean it does have to be tough to be behind in game scores, games sales, consoles sales, game attach rate and to make it worse behind with multiplat games which is 90% of the games now.

Me too, i tried the demo and it just felt so bad, no diferent then another hack and slash game, a Porn version of DMC, bleh
Man, that's a huge difference. I have the PS3 import and am tempting to get it again on 360 with that high of a score.
Well not unfortunate for most gamers when compared to the 360 Vs the PS3 since more of them own a 360. So at least the largest group of gamers will get the better version for the 360.The whole thing regarding the PS3 version is quite unfortunate. :(

The difference between the two is really that big? :oNice!

I remember when that happened. I can not even read that article again. The arrogance of Sony is just off the scale.i played the demo and thought it was crap. i could close my eyes and press buttons and not even have to worry about being near an enemy cause they would still end up dead.

It's unfortunate for gamers who only own a PS3 and truly want to play the game, but now won't be able to enjoy to the fullest due to it being an inadequate port. It's not a question of who owns more of what, it's a question of gamers getting somehwat shafted because of their system of choice.
It's not like there's a shortage of good hack-and-slash games coming out for the PS3 anyway. I'm sure God of War III alone will take the sting out of whatever Bayonetta throws their way.

NG story was always bad. If I when into ng2 look for a good story after play ngb then I would be retarded or mentally ill. NG2 had a bad camera especially indoor which ng and ngb solved with in their games and some how the developers over looked it in ng2, enemies popping out of no where in the middle of battle, enemies that span distant attack, the level design was off blanced in difficulty, guy who shot rapped fire rockets from their backs, easy and cheap boss that offer no challenged, and the 3 most cheap end game bosses ever. NG2 WAS HORRIBLE./END[QUOTE="smartcriminal"]Kinda like God of War. God of war you need to be near them and in the right direction, and if you dont attack both sides you get hit. This is the STUPIDEST reason to downplay a game. "oh i can play with my eyes closed". Do that against Fortitudo or any enemy after the 2nd level and you will be OWNED. FACT! Only reason you cant hit them is because they dont have a lock on, but if enemies were close, you can beat them with eyes closed too as Blades Of Chaos range so far.

Demo sure felt like it. If anything since this is by the guy who made DMC im expecting button mashing. Unless it has a style meter to keep you from doing the same move over and over. The demo felt like DMC with boobs and finishers and from everything iv seen looks to fit that description.

Devil May Cry is not a button masher. You can't be successful in DMC by mashing buttons. Having combat options and having to use them are two different things. I beat the demo by just jumping in the air and shooting my gun over and over.

I mean if you count jumping and hitting the back of a enemy not button mashing then I guess your right, but sadly it doesn't. Yes I have beaten dmc 1,3 and 4. Im not saying these are bad games. Just pointing out these games sure felt like button mashers to me. They jsut felt my stylesh. In 3 you had to be more carful since you could die much easier.

How does the difficulty not factor into this? It's like calling Street Fighter a button masher because you set the bots to easy and didn't need to dig deeper into the combat to be successful. It's like saying Call of Duty has weak gunplay because you set the game to an easy difficulty setting as were able to run around hip firing everyone. The mode that when people review difficulty in a game they play by. Usally you can tell by this cause the review would say something in the realm of you can make it harder if you play the highest difficulty. SO dont bring up easy if its not the DEFAULT mode. While DMC and Bay does have alot of combos you dont need them all to win. You can use some over and over to win the game. proboly not in higher level of dif but then again your choosing to make it more harder. Usally its default and normal that means the same thing.

Same with Bayontta. :| None of these games can be played by only button mashing(GOW series, DMC series, or Bayonetta). I didn't really care for Bayonetta's demo, but I knew it was a good game. I expect it to get 8.5, or maybe even a 9 since I didn't finish the demo. How does the difficulty not factor into this? Ok, then, It's like calling Street Fighter a button masher because you set the bots to normal and didn't need to dig deeper into the combat to be successful. What do game reviews have to do with anything? You look at a game from it's full potential, not half it's potential. The combat depth is there, and you'll need to use it if you want to beat the enemies at their full potential (ie hard difficulty).Didn't the people of Japan already say that the 360 version is slightly better than the PS3 version?

Also you keep putting up SF,but in those types of games you mainly get deeper in the mechanics while doing training and fighting humans. Also some games on higher dif can get more cheap and not more hard. You say GOW is a button masher if so thenDMC and bayanetta seems to fit that bill too just with more style. I say a games regualr dif should be judge on deafault/normal since thats what the game is meant to paly as. I mean its called normal. I know there are some games that dont call it normal and just replace it with a name to make it seem cooler.Yes you can get more of a challenge if you put it on hard, but thats why its called hard and not cake.
