Bayonetta is now Backwards Compatible on Xbox One

And the moment it was announced, I bought it instantly!

And last year when I told I would do so I was called "not a true gamer" if I hadn't played that game on 360 already and that Backwards Compatibility is not very enticing and I there's nothing to be excited about.

That was by one of the biggest cows here. You know who I'm talking about. Hint: he's not liquid.

And here I am, super excited. Where are you now???

On Monday at latest I'll be playing Bayonetta, much superior 60 fps version compared to that laughable 30 fps broken ass port on BreadBinStation! ;)

I have Bayonetta 1 & 2 on Wii U and have for well over a year, still haven't played them.

Yep, it fucking sucks. That was my first go with the game and I ended up quitting because of it. I can put up with poor performance to an extent, but not with a game like that.

Eventually I played it proper though, and the game is great. I really need to pick up the WiiU version... or I wish they'd just say **** the bullshit and release it on PC.

Already have the original on 360 and the superior Wii U version.

Sega ported the game. Platinum only made the 360 version and WiiU version.

Awesome news. I played the superior 360 version years ago and loved it. One of my favorite games from last gen. I'll be buying and playing through it again, such a fucking great game.

Well it did came with the first game when purchasing Bayonetta 2 after all for a very good price.

I have Wii U version but I wouldn't mind getting this, I rarely fire up my Wii U these days anyways but I'm always on my Xbox One. Had the original Xbox 360 version too so there's a cloud save with all my progress and platinum stage trophies and such. And I want to support this game on BC to encourage more releases. I wanna see Vanquish next.

Good news. The more people who get to play this game, the better. Even the PS3 version is great, despite it's performance issues.

I want to try this... but I'm not paying full price for it. I'll wait for it to go on sale.

Played it for a bit, smooth framerate so far, no issues. Some wacky cutscenes lol.....gameplay is fun, overall better than I was expecting

Wrong. Xbox 360 version has least input lag even if it produces some screen tearing. So if somebody prefers responsiveness over everything else, that's the version to go to. On the other hand, in the light of this test, Xbox One version is the superior to both Xbox 360 and Wii U version. The Wii U version has the most input lag out of the three, plus it introduces a massive dropdown in framerate when alpha effects are in place. Xbox One has the best framerate by far out of these three and has second best input lag.

I'm not reinstating what is demonstrated there in a clear-cut way to gloat. I don't give a dam. I'm gloating over King of Cows's being full of shit. And I also wanted to make you more informed and up to date.

@freedomfreak: Yeah, i noticed that later and had to fix my statement. Also the Wii U version is an improved version over both. They used the Xbox 360 version for Xbox One, not the improved Wii U version. The improvements might be small, but theyre there.

Digital Foundry on Wii U version,

They also stated shadow quality was boosted on Wii U. And the water quality was improved on Wii U too.

The WiiU version is the Xbox360 version with no screen tearing and better framerate. Same goes for the Xbox One, except it has less framerate issues and decreased input lag.

This video is a weak comparison as it only compares fps pretending all 3 versions are the same. Its a cheap trick.
