I am deciding which game to get out of those two. I played the demo to Bayonetta and loved it, was fun as hell. But i can see it getting quite repetitve. I'm more into the comic book Darksiders than Bayonetta, but how much like God of War is it like? I hear there are RPG elements in it, so that should keep it refreshing. I can't find any Darksider demos on XBL, and watching videos is one thing, i need to know what people think about the both games.

Owning both, Bayonetta is better, but they're both definitely games worth owning.

Bayonetta has a lot of replay value, I've poured 30 hours into it already I still have yet to open darksiders. BUT IDK if darksiders is more and more like zelda then I think, you'll net one or two playthroughs from it

Its meant to be over-the-top. Thats actually the point. It doesn't take itself seriously.

Ya, I agree with you there. Sometimes it seems like it's all flash and no substance, but the combo system will prove that it's not.

If you want a game like God of War, wait till February 9th and buy Dante's Inferno. Until then, RENT Bayonetta AND Darksiders.

If you have a 360 then Bayonetta is the better choice and if you have PS3 only Bayonetta is also the better choice.

You should probably re-assess what games you really like and what you want to play. These games arent really the same. Theyre only compared because of the timing and they're "actiony". Unless you've played them all, you could get Ninja Gaiden 2, DMC4 or even Ninja Blade for real cheap now if your looking for that fix.

Bayonetta is the superior game to be honest. I do think Darksiders is a good game. If you aren't big on replaying a game, then Darksiders is long. However, Bayonetta owns Darksiders as far as replay value is concerned.

I already have DMC4, and its that i don't want a game like God of War which is the issue. I don't particularly like the God of War series, just never did it for me. I don't really like linear games, which is why i am not sure whether or not either games will be right for me.

If you like action most of all, get Bayonetta. If you like exploration and narrative, get Darksiders. I was faced with this choice as well and I chose Darksiders, as I didn't like the Bayonetta demo that much. I'm not into Devil May Cry/Ninja Gaiden type games, preferring story and puzzles to 'Infininity Climax Action'. Don't get me wrong, Darksiders has great action, but it isn't as fresh as Bayonetta. I just felt like Bayonetta was too button mashy for my tastes. So it's all about which experience you are looking for. Something new, or something based on tried and true formulas.

Then the answer's simple. Get Bayonette which has beautiful combat to match with you beautiful sig.

Definitely Bayonetta. Yes it's over the top but c'mon, that's it's goal, and it also has a lot, and i mean a lot of substance to it :) You should play through it at least once, even if it's just on a rent.

Bayonetta is a much better game...the 360 version at least. The PS3 version is plagued by embarrassing technical problems, just like most other PS3 multiplats.

Bayonetta. I have both games and Bayonetta is loads more fun. Darksiders is certainly a good game, but I just find Bayonetta to be more entertaining and fun in every way.

Try the Bayonetta demo and see if you like it. Then imagine what if there was a dark, comic-book version of Zelda with a superior fighting system, and weigh your options. Don't be fooled into thinking Darksiders is a God of War clone. It borrows from God of War, but it also borrows heavily (and successfully) from about a dozen other great games. In fact, I actually think the puzzles in the Black Throne level (which used a lot of Portal style puzzles) were a little bit better than some of the end-game Zelda dungeons.

I've not played Darksiders, but I've been playing Bayonetta and it is some of the most fun I've had in ages. After a a few good hours of playing, I'm not in close to being anything except thrilled with the game.
