Which one is the best?

Hideki Kamiya created and finished Devil May Cry in 2001.
Team Ninja struck back many years later with Ninja Gaiden in 2004.
Kamiya was never allowed to make DMC 2-4, and Kamiya created Viewtiful Joe and OKAMI instead.
Finally, in 2010, Kamiya got his chance to strike back with Bayonetta. Is it the New Standard, that Devil May Cry started? That's up to us I guess...:P
Ninja Gaiden is better IMO!!! Bayonetta I put down after chapter 4.. bad bad story.. the prologue and the 1st chapter were great and then there were no more story to it just bland scene with the same enemies over and over with different variations to them. I like my games to have a good story and Personally I liked the fighting system way better in the NGS series.Midnightshade29
You might like playing Bayonetta in No Climax difficulty. I found the gameplay more enjoyable in that difficulty due to some of the faster pace battles and gave some decent challenges by taking out Witch Time.

Bayonetta has more of a story than NG, but unlike NG, it doesn't take itself too seriously, thus the cheese is easier to down.
NG does NOT have a good story... at all.

Something doesn't seem right here, I can't quite put my finger on it.

You've put down Bayonetta because the story was bad, and yet you're saying NGS is somehow so amazing in comparison? Come on.
Back on topic, the comparison goes like this:
NG>Bayonetta>NGS>NGS2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>NG2.
Bayonetta wins for me
At least in Bayonetta I am able to pick a difficulty that I want to plqay on right now. Like coming for instance coming back to it after a a few years I can play on normal and enjoy it.
NG/NG2 have only one difficulty - frustrating right from the beginning and cheap bosses.
