I gotta say, my first impressions with New Xbox Experience were a bit lackluster just like Tino's (lamprey). However, it was mostly a matter of adjusting to change. I've been using NXOE extensively for the past month and numerous updates brought it almost to the targeted shape. They even updated Snap feature so that you no longer have to go back all the way in menus to switch but I gotta say it's still not perfect as it lacks last snapped app shortcut and the list of last snapped apps.

That would be just about this one flaw that I see in it. The rest blows the previous iteration outta water. I wouldn't trade it back, ever.

Anyway, the whole thing goes public November 12 and it's set to include backwards compatibility. Head honcho of Xbox, Phil Spencer announced yesterday during the Halo 5 launch event. Over 100 titles will be playable in such a fashion at launch. Full list will probably published near its official launch. The latest game confirmed to join this initiative is Burnout Paradise.

No need to cite as it was during Halo 5 live stream.

I need your thoughts, though.

Good timing, the current one is just a bad mix up of good ideas.

I like the NXE but am having all kinds of buggy nonsense that is annoying me. I have and use kinect everyday but since the update it barley hears me now and apps freeze etc.....hopefully this all gets rectified with the official release. Other than that I am used to the layout and the speed is way better, all in all a nice update.

Not a big fan of the new UI. I still find PS4's to be better and faster.

The new UI looks really good. And a lot faster.

I definitely like it more than my PS4's UI. Although at the moment PS4 's is better than Xbox One's current UI by a long shot.

I have a feeling that the new Xbox One UI will be faster than the PS4's from what I've seen. I might be wrong...but the new UI is exponentially faster than the current Xbox One UI.

@acp_45: It's faster, but it still requires you to load up apps such as the store, achievements, settings and such. Much like the WiiU, except much faster.

More love for my Xbox, the CPU by itself is stronger than the entire PS4 I heard

It's not ready the UI is still too buggy. In its current state it's a regression. Since the preview my tv stutters, my apps randomly close, my console randomly reboots, kinect is often non responsive. I actually dislike the current state of the new ui a lot

Cool... bring it on (especially BC). I just hope that MS has ironed out all the bugs, because there's quite a few from what I've heard.

@speedfog: It's not though. Getting to my games, store, and apps is still faster on the Ps4.

It was better when everything was integrated onto the dashboard.

That's great to hear. Over 100 titles at launch and they will continue to add more over the coming months, that sounds good to me.

A lot of bad reviews out there from even fans, I'm little reluctant to get the new Xbone UI on my Xbone.

Even if I dislike the current slow Xbone UI, at least that UI doesn't freeze the entire console and I got used to it.

Any news of that BC list yet? I've a real itching to play Doom & Doom 2. I could just get it on Steam or GOG versions cheap but I have both as XBLA games so if they're made available I would just rather wait on that than spend the money right now. Rez HD would be cool too, it has been a while. Or, From Dust. I never got to try Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, that'd be cool to play too.

Damn MS, just release that list already.

Anyhow, I like the old UI better, speed was never an issue with me since I had my HDD clear with my stuf installed on an external, kept the dash running smooth. This new one is all kinds of unstable, and I don't think it's just because I don't have the final build.

Did anyone else in the Preview get the update today? I noticed load times have diminished and the UI is smoother. Another update like that and it will be good to go.

Personally, I prefer the UI. All you have to do is press to the left and scroll down for everything. Its much simpler.
