Be honest, there are only 2 current gen machines worthy of being a main system

The Wiiis cheap and great for Nintendo first party games , japanese exclusives, party games like warioware etc. But it simply misses out on too many multiplatform titles.

The PS3is a joke. resistance is still the best exclusive it's got and resistance isn't even that good. the multiplatform titles likewise tend to be better on the 360

That leaves the 360 and PC.The 360 is easier to use and does not require any expensive upgrades. It also has great exclusives like Ninja Gaiden 2, infinite undiscovery, halo 3 etc as well as console only games like army of two and brutal legend. The PC has better graphics, superior control and free online. It also has great exclusives like Starcraft 2, Dragons age and crysis. Both are great machines, it all just comes down to taste in genres

Perhaps. but you cant argue that the Wii misses out on a whole host of multiplatform titles because of the technology used. Titles like call of duty 4, assasins creed, last remnant, devil may cry 4, resident evil 5, virtua fighter 5, orange box, bionic commando, army of two, gta 4 etc

Whatever, this is purely subjective trash.

The only console I own is the Wii and it suits me just fine.

It all depends on how much you play and your personal tastes. I work full-time, I go to college at night, and I don't have 11 hours a day to play videogames. That said, I never feel like I don't have enough to play, even if the Wii does miss out on many multiplatform opportunities. Furthermore... I enjoy Nintendo games.

that's what i intend to own by the end of next year (i already have a quad core with an 8800 gt) but i can see why someone would want a 360 instead of a pc.

I have my wii as my main system and i play it a lot plus you are nobody to say PS3 is a joke because for PS3 only owners it's a worthy purchase. Not so much for multiplat owners but if they only have that one i bet they're having fun :)

i'm arguing that the pc and 360 are the best choice for a main system as they have a mixture of great exclusives as well as receiving the bulk of multiplaform titles. what's your argument?

Sigh...multiplats don't define a console. Exclusives do. If anything multiplats only makes systems just a like. The reason why I got Wii was because its not plagued with games I find on my PC, but a entirely different bunch that I can't find on anything else. 360 lacks distinction since the system is identified by games found on PC, actually the PS3 has more identity than the 360. But I'm not saying that it has a better gaming library, because it doesn't.

once again,either change your title, or change the last sentance. you can't claim something is undeniable, than say it's opinion. But, I'm out. Time for english

I think the wii will win the war, as it apeals mostly to casual gamers who plays like one or two hours a day. But if u consider games then the Xbox 360 clearly wins, as it provides games whch we can enjoy for a longertime. The PS3 will just fail to outsell itscompetition no matter how cutting edge it is, its too costly for most gamers.

Your right, but considering I'm known here as a giant hermit , but once I get a Wii in Jan/Feb ... you wont see me on the PC or the 360.

Zelda/Metroid/SMG and then ... the mother of life-sucking nintendo games ... Smash Bros :D

I usually findmyself very hard to take a stand in any corner - i see the good and bad in all things.....apart from the case of the PS3

I REALLY struggle to argue good points of this machine. Its plays Blue rays - thats about it. But even that arguement annoys me as a gamer.

It all comes down to Mac360 with a side of DS Lite. If we all lived that life, we'd all be so happy ;)musicalmac

You can look at it as being irrelevent due to the PC or see it as a poor man's PC. For only $350 I can play the games to a truly exceptional level (above anything else on the other consoles), and enjoy them in your family room. If I want to take it "to the next level," well then, I can always lay down another $1500 for a superior experience.

The PS3 gets neither the good PC360 games nor the 360 exclusive ones. All it gets are its current stand-in titles and a long wait for the games that actually warrant the purchase.

this is mostly true, but building a great pc only costs around 400 500 bucks, so it's not that much of a difference.

the ps3 gets good multiplats when they are developed with the ps3 in mind. porting has never worked to or from the ps3 because of it's different architechture.

wii has many great games it has more then just party games . plus wii gets more of its own games then any other console . multy plats suck deadmeat59
