Be honest, what wakes your inner fanboy?

Many people here are rabid fanboys, many others are mostly level headed. However, even the most level headed posters here, sometimes let themselves go and be swept away in the torrent of fanboyism that is System Wars. It's all part of the fun of SW and, whether we admit it or not, it must play a role in our choice to be posting here rather than in General Game Discussion or one of the system specific boards. So what is it that can tick you off enough to every now and then take the bait and react to someone who is obviously trolling? For many hermits bashing Crysis gets the job done. Bashing Halo will tick of many lemmings. I personally can't understand anyone not liking Uncharted and when it's called mediocre I so want to react (but generally don't 8)). Sheep seem to be the ones I most rarely see doing this, but sure you guys will also have your weak spots..

So fellow SW posters, honestly, which game, which fanboyish claim, what is it that really makes you want to react, even though you know you probably shouldn't?

I'm a PC gamer, so naturally it's any mention of a "Graphics Kings", or "X game looks better than or on par with Crysis" :)

I'm sort of a fanboy of all consoles. I enjoy them all. Something that wakes me the most is when someone states that most 360 exclusives are on pc. It simply isn't true if one actually looks at the exclusives on 360. But people see what they want to see.

Every time someone attempts to equate gaming on an Apple product to actual gaming devices, I raaaaaaage.

When some make claims of or alluding to Sony cares more about gamers. None of them care about us. It's our money.cainetao11

Also the generic things that people claim on SW daily but I try not to react because I usually know the response I'm going to get if they don't just skip over my post like usual.

Edit* Sometimes I go into threads and then recognise the TCs name and regret it because I remember the other posts the TC made.

I just get annoyed when people say something that isn't true about the PS3. Like "PSN is garbage because it's free"

Whenever Nintendo is claimed to be unable to do wrong and remains a shining example of perfection among the gaming world.

Nintendo is perfect and never makes a single mistake with their games or their hardware. Pure geniuises they are.

Library vs. Library discussions. Those that claim games that are AAA+ are the only "good" games.

I'm a fan of gaming, thought I often find lemmings most annoying because they seem ready to walk off a cliff to try and cross a canyon if Masterchief is on the other side.

Which leads me to my biggest trigger button,

Sales Numbers.... people keep equating them with how 'good' a game is, even though the quality of the game can help its success, the success of a game does not help its quality. The sooner people get that into their heads the better.

People dissing good games.

This is a great thread. I feel like I am on the level headed side but there are definitley things that irritate me. The first being spread of bad information. You know things that are just flat out wrong to make a console look better or bad. Stuff like PSN has only dedicated servers, there are no JRPGs on the Xbox 360, PS3 doesn't have upscale via hardware, the Wii doesn't have any good games, etc. Crap like that irritates me and makes my "fanboy" come out because I think about how many people just read this garbage and go "well it's written right there, it must be true".

On these forums, I would say 98% is spent defending the Xbox 360. The remaining 2% goes towards PS3 and Wii. Yeah, it's that bad around here.

Actually that is a great point. This new mindset is absurd. There are so many great games I played that if I had thought like this I would have missed.

Oh and i'm going to be serious and stop trolling BHB for a sec Graphics Threads. Graphics threads literally annoy me. Why are they discussed with so much anger? and effort? and vigor? and .....just why? WHy do you all care so much? It's not like a graphics king(BTW that's CRYSIS and CRYSIS WARHEAD not anything else) make other games suddenly ugly. WE have many good looking games. Just you know only one Crysis. jg4xchamp
