I didn't dismiss it, but I didn't think their new market would buy into the system as quickly as they did. Actually, now that the system is out and I've played it, I'm even less impressed, but still sure that the Wii will have most of the market share this generation.rykaziel
Its early, in a year you'll be seeing the Wii utilized in much better ways, you'll be wondering how you ever lived without one
Next Gen hasnt fully arrived. I own a Wii and its fun, but I guess the buying public needs more than the next gen graphics being produced by Sony and MS. I am in complete shock that the Wii is going to take the title. The PS3 and 360 are far and away better systems, but I guess innovation and price point is going to be the winning points in this generation. Congrats to Nintendo for taking a bold risk and having it pay off 10 fold. Are you one of those who dismissed the Wii as a true contender like me? if So talk about it. Thanks.Mets365
Yes. Low price + innovation = winner.
Oddly enough, it's the one console from this gen that I don't own though.

I own it and its good, but the graphics are child like and Im a graphix "you know what". I wish they could make xbox or PS2 looking graphics for baseball games and basketball games and not this bonk little kid mii stuff. Other than that, its fun and great for the family. I kinda equate it to a Disney movie, or a pixar movie, it sells like hotcakes and the kids and family love it, and the sales could be the best, but its not the best movie out there.
After the first round of N games, the gimmick will be over and the next round of Marios, Zeldas, will be rehash boringness. If they weren't already boring.
The dpad analog controller provides the interface for more universal games. The Wiimote limited it and will be the end of it.

I really hope that is the case. I can't wait for a game that lets me raise a shield, stab with perfect precision, block with something, levitate and throw objects...I hope they can make it happen.

I hope so. I can't wait for the day to come when I'm raising my shield, slashing at enemies with perfect precision, and blocking attacks, levitating and throwing objects through the air...I hope it can be done, and be done with the quality that so far has not been demonstrated.

not yet! :PI have a feeling I will be adding it soon to finish the collection. :D
LOLZ!! Do you guys actually think the Wii will win this gen??? IMO I don't think the Wii has the graphical power and enough 3rd party games to last half-way this gen..
Sure the Wii system may be selling now because only casuals are interested on trying the Wii-mote. With time casuals will lose interest(they always do) and with the lack of games they will go looking for the next hot thing..
I actaully have a Wii and Xbox360 at home.. Sure the Wii did have an unique feeling at first but I came back to my Xbox 360 in a week because it has all of the amazing games..

Like what?? It not like it gonna steal a game like Gears of Wars because the Wii can't handle it.. Plus most Wii Game are going be water-downed port (VERY water-down ports) from other systems anyways..

Why do we need gears? I'd rather have new IPs
