Besides games, what does the best console have to have?

Online?

A good controller?

A hard drive?

Multimedia functions?

Also, what kinds of games does it need?

Pretty much a PS3 with Xbox Live.

Reliability.

It has to have heated cup holders.

A standard controller IMO. I don't dig the motion sensing at all.

Great graphics, lots of horsepower and a controller with sensitive buttons than doesn't hurt to use.

It also has to have a programmable talking UI. Now that would be an awesome console. That is until it tries to kill you.

good controller and hdd. ms was stupid taking the hdd out of the 360 when the xbox had it.

a ps3 with steam (all game avaliable via dd) would be pretty much perfect.
