Besides games, what was the deciding factor in the choosing of your system?

Umm...well I got a 360 at launch for Rare's games and the future hope that Banjo-Threeie was coming out.

And now both are happening. So I guess graphics.

well, game is the most important factor but if you take that out, in no particular order:

1. hardware durability and quality (this is why I always trust Nintendo and much less on Sony)

2. First and Third party support

3. Price (I will not buy a console that's pver $400. Sorry Sony)

4. Controller comfort (One reason why I didn't buy the Original Xbox at launch. That big ass controller......)

5. Console's look (PS3 is fugly to me. Another reason I'm shying away from it)

6. Brand name (Nintendo in this case. Sorry, Can't live with out my Marios, Zeldas and Metriod. MS and Sony less so)

I know that some people, myself included, support more than one console. I also know that everyone has preferences. Tell us why you picked your primary console. I did not include games in the poll because that should be the deciding factor every time, no matter what. I want to see what else effects people's choices.

For me, it was the controller. I love the Wii remote. It is a great new way of playing games. You all have heard the rants and raves about the Wii remote, so I'll shut up now. I want to hear your opinions.

(for the most part, that is)

Graphics, online, and interface are some of the reasons why I picked the 360.

But most importantly, it has the best games.

No brand name, no new peripheral, no capability over the others etc, none of that interests me in the slightest.  It's nice to recognize whatever else comes along with whatever system you choose to compliment it, but ultimately for me, nothing interest me about any console except the games that are released/will be released.
