Soul Calibur 2, Virtua Fighter 5, Tekken 3, and Super Smash Bros. Melee.Sir-Marwin105Smash is not a 3D fighter. It has 3D sprites, but the gameplay is 2D.

You sure? Because I played a ****load of fighters, from 2d to 3d..Played the first 3 tekkens,King of Fighters,SF,every Mortal Kombat,SC1 and Virtua fighter 1,2,3 and 5.
I didn't play all of the DOA series because the first ones sucked but DOA4 is much different.
So now its wrong to have different tastes than others?

I think it's a 'cool' thing to make fun of it. They don't really have a reason they just say it sells because of sex.

Which goes for pretty much every 3D fighters. Fine, they can step in or out if they want to, but the field still stays 2D.

That little feature brings in and entire world of game play. Not in Tekken, but damage and counter rate were effected in SCbyyour position. And in Dead or Alive attacks and throws were effect or change with the surround environmental and could be use to cause massive damage. Some throws needed to be near walls or slopes to work.

Fair enough.
Still, 3D fighters usually change from 2D fighters tremendously by just being 3D. The gameplay is just that much different. You don't see Tekken having break-your-fingers moves and stuff, like GG.
