list of super old game no one plays any more:
1. Goldeneye (N64)
2. Worms Armageddon (Dreamcast)
3. Fuzion Frenzy (Xbox)
4. Halo (Xbox)
5. Rush
Some good looking UPCOMING 4 player split screen:
1 motor storm
2 resistance 2
3 cod5
4 gears 2? maybe
5 all those sexy fighter games coming out :)
1- Halo Combat Evolved- System Link, 4 tvs, 4 players each TV= BEST LOCAL CONSOLE MULTIPLAYER SHOOTER EVER. Seriousaly this is the one crown Halo owns by miles.
2- Goldeneye- PD was better, but i spent more time playing this.
3- PD- Like i said its better
4- Super Smash Bros Franchise- Brawl just shows that this franchise can just take hours away from your day when you get you, your buddies, a couch and a smash bros game going.
5- I don't know? Alot of options here
Goldeneye
Timesplitters
Crash Team Racing
Halo (only by system link otherwise if only 4 people then lame imo)
Battletanks (I probably spent the most time with friends on this one game, then after that mayber TP and GE)

Uhh, is this even splitscreen?
Goldeneye is definately the best split screen shooter ever.
BUT I would put timesplitters 3 second as you could have up to 4 players plus loads of bots and there were tons of different game types.
My favourite was virus.
IMO These 5 games and they are all on the N64, I love Splitscreen games.
Reminds me of the N64 days--games like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart 64, and Super Smash Bros. (not really split-screen, but still...).
As someone mentioned above, Battletanx was pretty fun too.
On GC, I remember playing a lot of 4-player TimeSplitters 2 and Medal of Honor: Frontline, along with the Mario spinoff titles.
People need to acknowledge Perfect Dark A LOT more. Those of us who remembers playing it knows why.
Also I've actually quite some fun with Mario Party when it comes to 4 players.
Local MP. Umm
Powerstone 2
Halo CE
SSB
Goldeneye.
Can't think of a fifth one other than DoA3. But it certainly wasn't as enjoyable as the top 4.
PD comes to mind but I really didn't play it that much.
hm... can we establish that N64 was the greatest split screen console of all time? fo rme it was :DcrunchUK
It was. Only other non-64 game I can think of is the Halo series.
Why are people saying stuff like smash brothers and fighting games? I've played alot of smash I don't remember it being 4 player split screen. The camera just zooms out until you can see everyone.
Mario Kart games, I hate shooters on split screen...to many screen-lookers.Bluestorm-KalasMan that is too funny.
I remember trying to think of a way during the G.E. days of making a cardboard divider lol sort of coming from the screen all the way to the player b/c one of my family members knew every location like the back of his hand and with a glance could tell precisely where you were at !
Me, heck I didn't have all the locales etched in memory nearly as well.

Thats why when I play Split-screen I go into areas that have many places that look the same like in Goldeneye Facility I hang out in the bathroom and switch from Stall to Stall, in Turok 2 I choose levels that have alot of Water like H2Whoa!!!.Please Log In to post.
