say i get an 360 from best buy i also get the warrintiey, 6 months later it breaks i go back and trade it in. do i have to get another warrintiey for this 360 or does my old warrintiey still work if i trade the new one in cause it breaks? Yeley718
You need to buy a new warranty with each machine you get from BestBuy.
Good news? It's as simple as pulling a new 360 unit off the shelf.
If you don't want to pay, you can also use MS's 3 year warranty (provided the reason your machine broke was the RROD)
All in all, not two overwhelmingly positive options.
thanks for the comment. do 360 break a lot or are they pretty reliable? (i dont want to have to trade in a 360 agian and agian) also how much is the warinty? (2 years). and is that a good deal?

Its pretty reliable but I would get the MS warranty for 50 bucks and it covers everything.
If something happens they send you box to ship it back. Its pretty cool.I think thats for like 2 or 3 yrs.
You have to get a new one.heretrix
No you don't. As long as it happens within the 1 year Sony provides then you get a brand new one. If the defect happens outside of the standard MFG warranty then your PRP/PSP is fulfilled and you have to buy a new one to cover your new console.
Sony? what does sony have to do with it? im talking about best buy's warranty for an xbox 360. (which microsoft makes). Sony makes the PS3's. but from what i've heard microsoft only covers red ring of death, im thinking i should get the best buy warranty because a week ago a bought a used xbox 360 from a powerseller (never buy from a powerseller) on ebay, and quess what? it did not work. so i emailed the guy back and asked for another one. Well at least he was responsable, i got a new one from him. by the way this is the pro pack im talking about. well i opened the box and theres no headset and the controllers broken. but what is even more dissopointing is it still did not work so ive decided to get a new one at bestbuy.
But how much does the bb 2 year warranty cost?
