So this year there are about half dozen console games that are trying to win CONSOLE BEST GRAPHICS!
Honorable mentions.
- Rage
- Forza 4
- L.A Noire
- Resistance 3

If RAGE doesn't take it, then I say Killzone 3. I love how the game looks in motion but stillshots show just how ugly any console game is. Thats why I don't think games like Uncharted 2 or Gears 3 will be superior. Its pretty much all preference now.
im going to be smart and wait for everything to be released before i make an ignorant statement. from what has been released so far , i would say killzone 3, playing it right now and WOW...campzor
I am going to bookmark this thread and see how the vote came out on picking the graphics king.
It is probably down to personal preference by now, none of them show any significant visual boost over the others( No BF3 console footage though). However Crysis 2 will hopefully make Cows finally stop with their tyraids about how the PS3 is significantly more powerful than the 360.
On consoles most likely uncharted 3, although GeoW 3 will be close.
Then overall Battlefield 3 will just come in and curbstomp everything and say its late to the party.
In my humble opinion, it's gonna be either Uc3 or Gears 3.
I voted Gears 3 because I like chainsawing grasshoppers.
After finishing Crysis 2 I still think Killzone 3 is the better looking game from the textures, AA and higher resolution(all while maintaining a stable framerate) makes it the clear winner IMO. I will say though, Crysis 2 has the best lighting of any console game I've played.
[QUOTE="cxcloud"]unless of course the 360 version does indeed run at a higher resolution that the PS3 one, we will have to wait and see. After finishing Crysis 2 I still think Killzone 3 is the better looking game from the textures, AA and higher resolution(all while maintaining a stable framerate) makes it the clear winner IMO. I thought both versions where sub-hd?
I didn't put up the last guardian because it most likey not going to make it out this year.

I might say that The Last Guardian might take it for best graphoc artistic, Uncharted for technical.

i am only going of the IGN preview and the gamereactor sweden review. "Although the resolution that the game is rendered in to Sony's console is less than the Xbox 360 (1024x720 for the Playstation 3). Should be said however that the difference between Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 is not enormous, and certainly not as critical / alarming as in the cases Bayonetta and Ghostbusters. Do, however, both consoles, I recommend absolutely Xbox 360 game in PlayStation 3 diton." the tI see but in comparison to Killzone 3 it still at lower resolution, I think?

It's a lower resolution sure but nothing most people would notice while playing the game.[QUOTE="cxcloud"][QUOTE="sts106mat"] i am only going of the IGN preview and the gamereactor sweden review. if you can tell the difference bully for you. the full analysis hasn't been done at beyond3d yet, so we cant be sure. but resolution is not the be all and end all. its possible for crysis 2 to be slightly sub-hd and still look and perform better than KZ3 (some cows reckon KZ2 is better looking that KZ3 LOL). like i have said before "darkstar one" runs as at NATIVE 1080p on the 360, are its graphics as impressive as the Halo Reach spaceflight level? absolutely not.The resolution isn't the sole reason why I think KZ3 looks better, but that being at a higher resolution and performing better doesn't hurt.
[QUOTE="soulitane"][QUOTE="cxcloud"]It's a lower resolution sure but nothing most people would notice while playing the game. if we take KZ3 as 1280x720 and the 360 version of Crysis2 as (1152x720 my guess, based on it being the next most common above the PS3's 1024x720) then the difference is 92160 pixels. i highly doubt thats even noticeable. its down to a number of other factors aswell. Damn, sorry, I'm tired, I meant to type wouldn't, not many people would notice the difference.I see but in comparison to Killzone 3 it still at lower resolution, I think?

i understand that, but if the PS3 version does indeed look worse than the PC/360, you could see why it could those versions might look better than KZ3. like i said lets wait and see what the general consensus is.I don't follow your first comment but I agree about the general consensus and my opinion is that KZ3 looks better.
Not gonna vote. So far I think it's KZ3 but Crysis 2 deserves a chance to show what it can do, even if Crytek is rubbing me the wrong way.
gears of war 3 = uncharted 3 > uncharted 2 = god of war 3 > killzone 2/3 = crysis 2 (360 version)
I have no idea how battlefield 3 and RAGE will turn out. we'll see. oh and also resistance 3 is quite the looker too.
I haven't seen any of these games in motion on a console, so it is impossible to determine which one is "better" (while still remaining just an opinion). My guess is that BF3 will be the most technically advanced, and The Last Guardian will be the best looking overall.
