best console in your opinion

Umm, the playstation 2

nuff said. So far I am thoroughly enjoying hte xbox 360 and have a ton more games than I did for the ps2. Almost more jrpg's!! Well, maybe after this year.

well i have two favorite systems...

playstation 3 and 360...not so much the wii, brawl is good though

so what do you people, the gamespot community think the best console right now is and why?, i myself like ps3 for the games like mgs4, r&c future and uncharted thats not all the games i like but you guys get the idea i also like it because it's a good blu-ray player, online is free(even if it is a bit buggy), and i like the promise of hopefully great games such as but not limited to ff13/vs13, uncharted 2, siren, r2, kz2, and lbp. so what is your best console in your opinion and i don't want morons that just post and say "Wii owns cause of ssbb!" or "360 has halo!" , and "mgs4 is best so it means ps3 is good!" cause no one wants to hear a bunch of fanboys. bludude

Ill be honest as of now 360 has the best library for games because one game MGS4 cant beat all other games on 360 it definately is one hell of a game but if you have patience go for ps3 its a very good system with a "good" library so it solely depends on personal choice.with 360 you have to have patience about RROD and with ps3 waiting for games both have good and bad.Whatever decision you take , take it as a gamer not a loyalist.

PS3-For overall value and worth, it's the perfect all around system, blu-ray, games, multi media, windows, linux, internet browser, free, quality

Wii-Disney console, console that make you feel like a kid, but not in a bad, brings back good memories like playing PS1 or Dreamcast or N64 in the 90's as a kid, with all the classic franchises beefed up with quality, helps you re-connect with your inner child, the console with the most 'Soul'..

For me it would have to be PS3 as my favorite, I've always been a ps kid since I was little, the console and brand just grew on me...PS3 was my first independant console buy, and I've felt that it's worth it...

All time would be Dreamcast, I'd pick a dreamcast over anything.In the late 90's and then in 2000, I'd go to my cousins every week and play dreamcast all night there, I cried in Sonic Adventures, I laughed and enjoyed Xpendable's weird and futuristic art style, I talked sh*t in Capcom vs SNK, kicked a** in Shenmue, etc... all good memories....

Sega should come back with a Dreamcast, I think they could recapture the market or hold a strong share in it..

Right now and out of the current gen consoles, 360 is my favorite console since it has the most games on it that I am playing.

However, by years end, it may have shifted to PS3.

And there are times in between where I love the Wii and PSP.

So basically, whichever console has the game I am playing at the moment.

Nintendo DS IMO is currently the best. The best of all time is probably the PS2.

Of course, I am talking games here, not hardware.
