Best console lineup for 2016?

Probably the PS4, though most of the games listed do not interest me in the slightest.

PS4 for sure, although I will get these games for X1 day 1.

• Halo Wars 2
• Scalebound
• ReCore

Zelda all day everyday. Im gonna play a different Zelda game every month for 2016. And a lot of Metroid. Gonna wear my 3DS out too.

Personally, if Zelda U comes out next year, that's enough for me to say WiiU.

Looking at those lists though, PS4 has it. Though the most important game on that list to me is Street Fighter V and I'll probably just pick it up on PC.

@soulitane: I'd be surprised if it did because there's so many. SMTxFE would probably by my top 3 any other year but for 2016 it's barely in the top 15.

PS4 will have over 1000 games by then, golly, thats a lot.

Doesn't matter, a gamer who only has the PS4 can enjoy over 800 games which is a factual statement, and coincidentally 2 major 3rd party releases where reviewed with the PS4 version and scored a 10/10 AAAA perfect score,

Or gamer like myself who mixes it up can play games on any platform he wants, can still play over 800 games on PS4.

We all know the Wiiu would be less than ideal as a soul platform for gaming, missing every major 3rd party game please dont lump the PS4 in with it. Unless of course you are saying you need a PC+ another platform to keep pace with PS4, then be all means carry on,

I'm too busy gamefly'n and buying games for PS4/X1 to worry about it.

More excited for Quantum Break. But PS4 library is looking pretty big.

I feel ya, PS4 offers thousands of dollar value when you sell all the games you can play, no PC needed and as a bonus offers the most games playable on console this gen.

World class gaming and over the top sales, and over 800+ games to play on 1 system.

PS4 easily. Xbox lineup looks better than 2015, but still pales in comparison.

Anyways, besides that fact, is the i7 5960 worth the extra money over a regular 17?

I've even talked to people who say get an i5 as it can keep pace with games as the extra cores dont get taken advantage of.

That leaves a lot of games I'm not interested in.

@soulitane: There's something for everyone of PS4 is that's what is great about it. The handful that you like is pretty much equivalent to the total amount MS are outputting. If you had a Xbone and you weren't interested in the 6-8 available the you are screwed. Same with Nintendo but their games are more friendly to everyone of all types so they don't have this issue.

In my opinion, more cores are useless right now. May be when DX12 games will start to roll out then we'll see big difference. Right now most games don't take full advantage of multiple cores. IMO, 8 cores are overkill.

Figured. I'll but the extra money in the GPU then and go with the 4790. I'm sure it will last for years.

It's murderous row in 2016 for Xbox when it comes to competing w/ PS4. They should delay everything and come out strong in 2017 while giving up 2016. Well... they wouldn't really be giving up the year since the chance of winning is the same as getting the grand ticket prize of the lottery. Nintendo will be fine with their dedicated fans and they aren't really competing anyway. Market the hell out of stuff for your main audience with games like CoD or Battlefield. That's what MS should do. Maybe even Titanfall 2...
