Personally I love all Sega console names ... they all sound terrific and make you think of the most advanced piece of technology ever created! :shock:

Segas names sound cool. If only the console was as good. I think I'll be choosing XBOX though because it sounds the best to me.

Sega hands down. Nintendo are to kiddy when it comes to console naming and M$ and Sony consoles are just not original at all. Xbox, Xbox360, Playstation 1, 2, 3, I mean come on.

I liked the Xbox 360's codename, Xenon. It had a nice sound to it. Atleast if I remember right that was the codename for it.

I can't believe anyone seriously thinks "Nintendo Entertainment System" is catchier/cooler/better than something like Dreamcast, Xbox or Playstation...

I like the names Playstation, sounded orginal, too bad they didn't change after the first. The Dreamcast, The Nintendo Revolution. Um.... Gameboy, I can't think of anyelse that caught on to me.

Sega Genesis. And anybody who says the Wii's name sucks apparently has been living under a rock with their fingers in their ears going "la la la la la la", ignoring the fact that a lot of game systems before it and alongside it had even worse names. I include Nintendo.

I voted Sega. But in terms of consumer appeal, Wii has generated a lot of interest and will most likely enter modern day vocabulary alongside iPod etc.

X-box has to be the worst name i can think of. X as in anything, box as in a container... "Gaming Console A"

at the time of it's launch, dreamcast was better than ps2, had better games, better graphics etc. Shame it never took off.

i am going for playstation despite what everyone says. yes it is plain and simple but it's spot on because you play games on it.

the only good name of a sega console was the dreamcast, that was a great name but saturn, mega drive etc. no thanks.

game boy was probably the one and only great name a nintendo console had.

as far as Xbox and Xbox 360 goes, the names are neither bad nor great.
