dreamcast controller is the best imo. and i guess xbox comes after that since they blatently ripped it off.RenzokucantXbox may have ripped-off Dreamcast, but Dreamcast copied the original ABXY diamond design from Super Nintendo, which was itself a rip-off of Commodore by having a red button. The Commodore controllers were made of plastic and thus a rip-off of picnic utensils.
Dual Shock is great, the design isnt fantastic but its simple, grips well and responsive and durable. However the Gamecube did have a fantastic controller as well. Very well designed, great triggers, the analog is the best out of any console control ever and its extreamely responsive and durable. So for me its between those two. I really hated both X-box controllers however, the original was very bad. And the 360 improved it in many ways (which is great) but man does it feel cheap, and the directional pad's feel so uncomfortable, like they will break off any time you press hard.

maybe cause am used to its designbut i still find the Dualshock2/3 the best controllers around.. But i admit that the 360 controller is great..

While I love the 360's analog sticks I think the ps3 is the most technically advanced controller simply because of it's pressure sensitive buttons. Plus to me its VERY comfortable. Also I love the triggers on the DS3. It's very comfortable to me. BTW i like the 360 controller a lot, but the lack of pressure sensitive buttons makes me annoyed in certain games.
Real men use ****c instead of the wimpy S controller.
But in terms of comfortability, GC controller is unmatched.
360. The only thing holding it back is the d-pad but I never really use it anyways.
I don't understand how people can say the gamecube had the best controller ever... maybe if you came from the N64? lol
The gamecube's c-stick analog was just weird small and hard to aim with. It's d-pad was small and awkward to use. The button layout was hard to play certain games with like Tony Hawk... it had only one bumper button. Too many drawbacks.
And on top of that, the DS3 analog sticks have less deadzone than those found on the 360 controller even tho they may were out a bit over an extended period of time. While I love the 360's analog sticks I think the ps3 is the most technically advanced controller simply because of it's pressure sensitive buttons. For me the GCN was my favorite controller even last gen it doesn't look like it will be comfortable but once I put the controller in my hands it fit perfectly and the Wavebird took all that and made it wireless so I can carry the controller all over my house if I needed to and not worry about pulling the console off the shelf. I like the Wii Remote and Nunchuk and would pick it but it isn't a normal controller so I usually leave it out of these discussions. Why am I seeing so many answers saying they loved the gamecube controller? Is it just becase people are sick of the Wii controller or something and miss the old days of Nintendo?

360 is the best overrall i cant see why everyone is biggin up te game cube it wasnt like a smooth anaolouge stick and the C stick was terrible if it was bigger then would have been loads better Haha well imo :)
