best downloadable consloe games are on...

the best, most original and most creative downloadabe games of this gen have been on wii ware and psn games this gen. xbla has lots of games but they are not nearly as creative or original as what you find on the other two systems. xbla games seem to be targeted towards a more mainstream pop culture audience while wiiware and psn games seem to be targeted towards traditional core gamers. This could also be said of the non downloadalbe games for the three systems.

Just as everyone else said, XBLA trounces WiiWare, which beats Playstation Network.

However, all 3 of them have worthwhile downloadable games. And I am happy with my Hydroventure from WiiWare, Flower from PSN and Shadow Complex from XBLA.

Interesting that some people are saying Wiiware > PSN. Don't see that much good games on the Wiiware. XBLA easily blows away both through. I would actually get a 360 just for XBLA.

PSN has: 44 games at AA or above. 3 of those are AAA.

XBLA has: 58 games at AA or above. 6 of those are AAA.

WiiWare has: only 26 games at AA or above. only 1 of those is AAA.

this doesn't include virtual console, PS Klassics or Xbox originals mind you. this also doesn't include games you can buy in retail from the same console that the DLable game is on. sorry warhawk/wipeout HD peoples, those count as retail games. it doesn't count expansions either, as they aren't standalone games.

So I wouldn't say XBLA wipes the floor with PSN, but both do wipe the floor with WiiWare.

well, i already own most of those games for the ps2. i mean, it's great if you don't have a ps2 but they definitely shouldn't count in this argument, they're old games and they're not exclusive.

I rtemember combing through 'PS3 Exclusives' on PSN, What a load of crap and they also listed 'Unboend Saga' when it's on XBL as well. If the PSN titles are so great, how come they hd to pine the developers to get Castle Crashers and Braid?

Cave Story, La Mulana, Castlevania Rebirth, Contra Rebirth, Final Fantasy IV: TAY, Bi.Trip series and Excite Bike beat out the PSN to me..... which has pretty much nothing Id like to play.

I'm not a big fan of downloadable games but I would say its PSN because of Flower :P.

Steam and XBLA destroy the others when it comes to new indie and arcade games. PSN and WiiWare destroy the others when it comes to retro games.
