It'd be a toss up between Virtua Fighter and Soul Calibur.  I'd probably go with Soul Calibur as it's still my favorite. Why wasn't VF & Killer Instinct included? :wink:

That's your opinion. It's very, very far from being fact. It's a decent fighting game, but the characters in the 1st one was very unbalanced. Mario and a couple other character were the only ones that were balanced. Others were either too weak or too strong. This is one of the reasons it far, far from being the best fighting game ever.

Soul Caliber 1 for Dreamcast was the G.O.A.T., but Tekkens are my favorite.  (Except Tekken 4.) Tekken 3 and 5 are also up there with the greatest of all time.

So my vote goes to....Tekken.
