Best final kill at the end of the game: MW2 vs. BC2 (SPOILERS)

so i just finished BC2, finally tore away from other games and BC2's multiplayer to beat the campaign and WOW, that last kill was amazing IMO....off of a plane and having to kill kirelenko from stealing my parachute from sweets in the air....just epic

but i also remembered the MW2's was also quite epic.....having to pull that knife out of you and then throw it in the head of that other guy (can't remember name, been awhile)

for me it's a tough choice....i mean having to take the knife out of your stomach and then getting a headshot with it...that was just awesome

but being 15,000 feet up in the air and shooting kirelenko was also really awesome

overall though i'll have to pick BC2 just because of the setting.....seeing everything below you was a site to behold

so IYO, which of these gave you that better feel good moment and which was most epic?

I would say BC2... but even then MW1 had a better ending than both.

and with the mention of COD4, that was amazing too....

BC2 without doubt. I hated MW2's storyAnjunaddict

this is mainly about the kill and how you killed the guy.....not really story focused here

I think the ending of MW2 is more epic, not just the knife part but the whole ending level built up to a tense final fight. The same can also be said about BC2 in the plane but the final shot seemed to be more simple. However the ending of MW1 was ofcourse better than both.

I'm actually blown away that MW2 isn't winning but then again there is a lot of hate for a good game on these boards. I like the fact that MW2 forces you to be apart of a high octane action film. I feel that the ending scene does this well by letting you keep control where BFs end scene only give you control for a quick couple seconds and it's just shooting a pistol which is what you already did for 10 hours.

Edit: Hans Zimmers track as it works into the credits blows me away. I feel that alone makes it great especially the first time you beat it.

As for the kill itself I really can't say. As for the ending, BFBC2 takes that.

I liked the story, plot, setting, pretty much everything more on BC2. However, removing a knife from your stomach & popping a guy right in the head with it is just way more hardcore & that is what I chose.

last nite i got a final kill in mw2 with a headshot on a guy jumping out of a building. i thought that was really funny

I'd like to be the first to admit that my opinion may be a bit biased, as I've only seen the youtube page posted of BC2's ending. That being said, MW2 all the way for one reason: atmosphere. It's one thing to shoot a guy, grab a backpack, and parachute to safety, it's quite another to stumble around half-dead, get taken down by your target, pull a knife from your own stomach as blah blah blah you get the idea.

Yes I haven't played BC2, but watching that ending it just seemed pretty lame. Maybe I am missing out on too much atmosphere from not having played the game, but it just doesn't strike me as exciting in the least unlike MW2's absolutely epic ending.

huh in MW2 u can aim the knife to the sky and it still will hit the bad guy

The BC2 ending was bad and anticlimatic. I know DICE could have done way better, but I guess they were rushing the campaign.

The MW 2 ending, while being sort of a rehash of COD 4's, was fantastic. Really got you involved and caught up in it.

Kind of had a philosophical bent to it as well. Soap and Price only cared about killing Shepherd in the end, but when you finally just stone cold stab him in the eye, and then there's just silence, it feels like a totally hollow victory. Like, good job Soap, you killed a guy. I guess you can just lie here among the wreckage and corpses and bleed to death now.

Nikolai rescuing you spoiled that a bit, but at that point IW was supposed to be prepping for MW3, so I guess they had no choice.

I haven't finished BC2 yet. I couldn't finish MW2, due to boredom, before selling it. I did like the final kill in COD4 though.

yea it would definitely help playing the whole game i think....really getting to hate the guy and then finally get to kill him in that nature was just awesome

MW2's ending was stupidly unrealistic. You have a sidearm the entire game and then all of a sudden you don't? You have a knife the entire game then all of a sudden you don't? You should have a pistol to shoot him with or be able to use your own knife instead of having to take a knife out of yourself. SF_KiLLaMaN

what i didn't like was when you were crawling on your belly to get closer to the fight, but yet that knife is in your stomach.....i would imagine it'd be against the ground driving in further.....always seemed weird to me

Both are good but neither holds a candle to Bayonetta's final kill.

Lol at all the haters voting against MW2. Thats funny.

MW2 is better. Knife to the EYE.

Even though there's a lot of hate for MW2, its single player beats BC2 by a large land slide. But thats not saying much.

Although I like Bad Company 2 better I got to say throwing a knife into a guy's eye after pulling it out of your body is more awesome than shooting a guy before opening a parachute.

I havent beaten bc2 sp(all about mp this time around), and even though I hate mw2, I still say cod takes it. Through all my dislike, I have to admit it was slick throwing that knife bullseye style. That scene for bfbc2 just kinda..came and went. So yea, cod wins. This time.

in terms of cinematic moments id say so....but overall i had more fun with BC2's SP for reasons like destructible environments, better cast of characters, realistic movements and firing, MUCH better sound, and use of vehicles
