Best Game Developer For Xbox, Playstation And PC?

This thread is about developers who make games for Xbox, Playstation and PC platform. We'll list one best developer for each of those platforms and will explain why we think those are best developers for the said platform.

Rules:

• Only devs who make games natively for X platfrom can be listed. For Example: From Software can't be listed as PC developers because their games on PC are ports from Console versions.
• Exclusives, Timed Exclusives and Multiplats count, as long as the game is built primarily for the platform you listed but exclusives should be prioritized if possible (but not necessary).
• Explain why did you list the name of X developer.
• Name of developer should only be listed because of quality of their games and not other services.
• You can only list one developer per platform.
• You can only list developers that are still in business.
• Entire Xbox and Playstation brand (just home consoles) count as one platform. For Example: Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One should be listed as "Xbox".
• Avoid hating, trolling or bashing for no reason.

Remedy Entertainment

I've enjoyed everything they've made so far. I've been fan of the studio since first Max Payne. Both Max Payne series and Alan Wake are among my most favorite games of all time. Even though they started on PC and bring their stuff on PC, in recent years due to their partnership with Microsoft, they have started to develop games for Xbox first. No one can do Max Payne like Remedy did and if Alan Wake 2 ever happened, it'll be day one for me. And from what I've seen, Quantum Break looks epic!

Playstation:

Naughty Dog

I wasn't fan of their work back in old days but Uncharted 2 got me in. The game had some of the best character animations I've seen in any game and it was really good to see what they managed to achieve with the hardware. The game also featured some of the best set pieces in video games. The Last of Us on other hand had great storytelling and despite having some AI issues, it was a great game overall. Uncharted 4 is looking great so far and I'm glad that they are bringing some changes to their traditional formula and better hardware is also a bonus. I think they are best 1st party devs that Sony currently has.

PC:

Blizzard Entertainment

I've been playing Blizzard games since 90s. Since first Warcraft every AAA title they made, released exclusively for PC. Almost every game they made became the best in its genre as well. Diablo 2 was best ARPG back then, Warcraft/Starcraft were best RTS and WOW was best MMO. Starcraft 2 was brilliant and Diablo 3 is excellent right now. They have over 5000 employees and I like how they still take their time to release a polished product and don't do DLCs, instead they release big expansion packs that in a lot of cases are even better than the base game. I'm looking forward to Legacy of the void and Overwatch. Will be interesting to see what their RTS team will do after last Starcraft 2 expansion.

Sony: ND. I don't think they've ever put out a game I hated. I've always enjoyed their shit. Yeah, they're by far the best Sony has to offer when it comes to first party. Or any kind of party.

Microsoft: Turn 10. Forza is a solid-ass racing franchise. Sure, 5 wasn't brilliant, but I feel Forza 6 is gonna bring the good shit back. Not to mention they have the Forza: Horizon franchise too, which is pretty much PGR, but yeah, not the same developer.

PC: Uhm..I don't know. I think it's cool whenever a title pops up, early access or no, and totally grabs peoples attention. Cities: Skyline, for example. Just bitchslaps EA's recent Sim City efforts. Of course, there's Valve, but what I like of it, is on consoles.

PC: Valve then?

No doubt!

Yeah, that's good. I like them. I mean, let's not pretend they haven't been supporting PC for years and years.

I'm still waiting for Half Life 3 though. I wouldn't mind as much if they didn't end Episode 2 the way they did.

Valve doesn't make traditional games anymore though. That's why I said Blizzard. I used to prefer Valve few years ago. Creative Assembly is also great but Blizzard is better imo. I'm glad Sega is investing money and rebuilding Relic. Great studio held back by THQ bankruptcy.

Oh, the Company of Heroes fellas, right? CoH is good shit.

Yeah, I read that article, and it just worried me about Half Life. I get the business model they're going after, but I wanted closure from Half-Life. I don't know... Maybe we will someday... Hell, I'd support the Kickstarter :p

Yup. Company of Heroes 2 had less production values and had clunky controls. It was rushed and Relic was loosing good people left and right because THQ lacked resources to fund proper AAA game. Luckily Sega is now spending money and Relic is hiring like crazy. They are also rebuilding their website. Would love Dawn of War 3. I have no hope for HL3 though. Gabe recently said that they are more interested in F2P multiplayer games. I don't blame them, a lot of people are showing interest in MP games or dude crap like COD these days.

That's cool. I'm glad somebody is looking out for Relic.

But yeah, shame about Half Life. Damn shame.

Xbox: 343i Even if they were a rock bottom level of suck, Microsoft would fund mega $$$$ into making them the best studio. Halo 2 remastered was amazing and the tease about Halo 5 is killing me.

Playstation: NaughtyDog They turn out some great games and TLOU even with its A.I. problems and balance issues still makes for an incredible game.

PC: Cloud Imperium Star Citizen will set the new bar for any game and I have a feeling it won't end there.

Nintendo: Void from conversation

Awww yeah baby. I have a feeling that they will become new Origin systems. People used to upgrade PCs for their games every time.

On other hand I think Halo 5 will turn out to be a great game.

was a tough choice between them and turn 10. i'm not a big racing fan and even though 343 is a young studio they were given a huge franchise. i loved halo 4 and halo 5 so far looks awesome (the MP beta was amazing) so i went with 343 Black tusk was also given a big franchise but they've yet to release a game so don't' really count. Lion head gets honorable mention as they've made constantly good games for the past 10+ years

Sony - SSM

Was a pretty easy choice for me. GoW is my favorite sony series. I know ND is the popular answer, but personally I'm not a fan of their type of games. SP only makes infamous which isn't that good and GG has been making killzone which is a pretty bad franchise. Don't care for their "smaller games" studios either like ICO

Nintendo - Nintendo

basically they make all their own games. I'm honestly not sure if they have different studio names or such. All the mario, zelda, donkey etc is them.

PC - Valve

steam platform, half life, team fortress, counter strike, left 4 dead, portal, dota 2. really no comparison,, unless your a big WoW fan then maybe blizzard

Sony: I guess Sucker-Punch

Microsoft... I don't know

PC: I'm not really aware of the stuff on PC

Playstation: Naughty Dogs

Made the PS1's very first mascot, Crash Bandicoot. Weren't so important during the ps2 days with Jak, and were overtaken by Santa Monica with God of War. But last gen, and going forward, they're responsible once again for SOny's main IP, Uncharted, and in a paralel, TLOU and future cinemtaic thrid person shooters. I prefer the GOW series over UC, but ND is a bigger dev team to Sony

Halo, nuff said. Literally the game that still to this day defined the xbox platform. A massive brand in the whole of gaming. There's no competition here

PC: Valve

First it was Half Life and Counter Strike. HL marked a change in how FPS'ers were made as a whole and CS, it's own mod, became one of the biggest multiplayer games in the world.

Then, Valve's Steam platform quite literally changed and gave not only new life to PC gaming 8no, pc gaming wasn'd dying) around 2010-11. It was, above all else, the gateway for the indie revolution that is such a huge part of gaming today.

And in the present, in addition to Steam and the anticipated HL3, Valve has 3 of the biggest multiplater games in the world, DOTA 2, TF2 and CS GO (the series which is still going to this day), aswell has one of the most iconic, unique and awesome games of last gen- Portal. L4D is soon to follow alognside the 3 MP games with the hinted L4D3.

In the future, Valve seems to be trying to push for the Lynux OS, the Steam controller and VR.

In summary, Valbve is not only responsible for creating some of the biggest and most beloved games in pc gaming, both today and decades ago, but also for changing the face of the platform in every way with Steam

Don't know about pc. Bungie I guess for MS when they were there. No idea about now. Haven't followed Xbox in years. As far as Sony though, Sucker Punch and Naughty Dog would be my favorite 1st party devs. Sony Japan studio and Santa Monica are okay too. Not too thrilled with the rest.

Sony:

• Rockstar Games - do I really need to explain?
• Quantic Dream - always enjoyed their titles.
• Naughty Dog - iconic games.

Xbox:

• no idea.

PC:

• Blizzard - Diablo, SC.
• Creative Assembly - Total War.
• CDPR - The Witcher
• Sports Interactive - drug addiction.

Nintendo - HAL Laboratory

They make awesome and very diverse games. Almost every single game they make is unique and can stand the test of time.

PC - Blizzard

They make epic games that are hard to top. They have this skill of adding nice physical game features that make you proud and feel apart of the game. So good, so good.
