Homeworld easily.

Epic story, unique gameplay (space 3D-style) etc.

I will say that KOTOR 2 offered up alot of improvements in the gameplay dept.

* Starting as a Jedi so you were already developing powers at level 2 (though it still took an infuriatingly long time to get your 1st saber)

* Prestige Jedi classes - wow what abilities you got then

* Fast switching between 2 weapons

* enhanced light saber modding

* Being able to develop other characters into Jedis

* The construction system, allowing you to turn useless junk into more needed upgrade parts

But still, the 1st game had by FAR, the superior story, which drew you in much more, giving it the lead.
