In my expert (just kidding, fanboys) Opinion, Oblivion is probably the best game of all time. One of it'ssidequests is longer than some games out there (ahem, Heavenly Sword). I'm not an RPG fan, but for this? I'll definitely make an exception. Blood? Check. MASSIVE depth? Check. Having to find an ugly ass Orc chick a date? Check. Attacked by a vampire and choosing to become one or to stay cursed? Check. Hitting people in the face with assorted objects? Check.

I want a sequel! I just started the game myself, but i have done other things on my Uncles save on his laptop. Can't wait to play it through my own way :D

Oddly I liked Morrowind better, I'm not sure if many people would agree with that.

It's good. Hell, it really is as great as you say it is. But why does Cyrodill feel so small. It just felt tiny compared to Daggerfall and even Morrowind.

Uh-oh, here come the PC gamers with the "ZOMG ITZ SO DUMBED DOWNNN!"

Oblivion was excellent... Not the best of all time though, in my eyes. Probably best of the year though.

Oblivion isn't even the best Elder Scrolls.

Pick up Morrowind, or even Daggerfall.

The Morrowind fanboys approach.

As for my choice, I've said it a thousand times before, Half-Life.

Couldn't get into Oblivion (Or any of the Elder Scrolls for that matter). Just really bores me, awesome you liked it though. I always hear people (elitests probably) who say the others are just as good/better.

I agree, this game is one of my favorites. I suggest looking into the earlier games, one of which is for Xbox also. (I don't know if it's compatible or not, haven't tried yet.)

My favorite of all time is StarCraft. :)

Because then you had to walk everywhere that wasn't a major city, Oblivion would seem a lot bigger without fast travel.

Two things;
1) Ocarina of Time scoffs every game ever. Dusting dirt off it's shoulder as someone should even dare say a game exists better than it. :)

2) Can I put your Mencia sig. in my own?

Not flaws, perhaps, but comparitive shortcomings - depending on how you look at it... Morrowind had more complex enchanting and spell making systems - also much more tedious. The political environment in Morrowind was also much more diverse and allowed much more player interaction (wars between the houses)... On the other hand, presentation of the main story wasn't nearly as good, combat was simplistic by comparison (though, it did have more weapon types), and the enchanting/spellmaking system was much less of a hassle (tradeoff for being less complex).

As for the enemies that level with you - I much prefer it. Having no enemies that were even close to a challenge in Morrowind was not my idea of fun :p

In the final estimation, they're both really, really excellent games... I don't like to pick favorites because I loved both, and both have their strong points.

I love less complex RPG's, and also action-RPG's.

That's another reason why I hate FF games. And Xenosaga. Make it Final already Square > = (

You are not really far into it in that case... after the main quest of 10 hours... you will wander around doing some stupid guild quest...

So far, I got a house in every town and I am so rich that I don't know what to do with the money.

I am invincible and got around 130 point of strenght... not health point strenght... max is at 100 but you can boost it with some attributes.

Fallout 1 and 2 are easily the best RPG on PC.

Nah, I'm going to bed. PS:T is a better written, better looking game with better art direction and more interesting characters. Fallout was a game with a great sense of humour and a great combat system. PS:T was the better game.

Oblivion in my opinion is one of the most boring games ever, one of the worst RPGs ever, but still a fine action agme for like 3 hours. Morrowind and Daggerfall where 10x times better and deeper. Consolization killed it. That giant HUD, compass that shows mission's directions, non killable NPC's, auto level, same boring dungeons, small map and many more:(

I agree that its an awesome game. And mods make it so much more fun. Currently, I am finishing up the Nights of the Nine quest, after that, it's off to the Shivering Isles. I am so excited, I heard that the Shivering Isles has much better presentation than the main quest of the original game. :o
