If there wasn't so much damn sailing I would agree, but the fact that there were only like 5 dungeons and an abundance of fetch quests which required ridiculous amounts of sailing put it slightly below TP imo.

If there wasn't so much damn sailing I would agree, but the fact that there were only like 5 dungeons and an abundance of fetch quests which required ridiculous amounts of sailing put it slightly below TP imo.

the triforce quest was lame, I agree with that. But the graphics, the style, animations, story, and so on were better

In fact I think TP is "the least great" Zelda title ever. The wolf parts were lame, Midna was annoying, It was a letdown for me :(

Don't get me wrong, i love WW. If OoT is a 10, I would give TP a 9.8 and WW a 9.7. It is that close in my book.

i litterally stated turning the system off every time i had to play as the wolf and had my brother beat those sections for me i hated them so

I still dont know how to describe the welling of emotions that this game provided.

I don't know about best all around game but as a form of digital game art and story telling... pure genius.

Other games will be noted for technical prowess but I think SotC will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Out of those, RE4.

My favorites were Metroid Prime, Half Life 2, and Wind Waker.

BTW, I dont get the Shawod of the Colossus love. Whats so "beautiful" and "emotional"? The game was pretty good and interesting, but IMO the story was just decent.

Thinking back , my vote goes to God or War II based on what I played. It was such a polished game and fun game to play.

• good variety - combat (melee/ranged) and weapons , magic abilities , puzzles , platforming/traversal , pegasus
• great pacing throughout - plus it opened with a bang and ended in a way that set up the sequel well
• perfect length
• perfect default difficulty level
• great boss battles - and a lot of them
• great music , voicework
• crisp , clean , and beautiful graphics in a great setting
• badass , brutal , epic

Resident Evil 4 was voted as the best game of last generation by the people of SW through a series of polls. I can live with that. I think God of War II is better , but that is a fine choice too.

I would like to mention Half Life 2, RE4, WindWaker and Metal Gear Solid 2 too.

So many come to mind...

Shadow of Colossus, RE4, Silent Hill 2...

I'm gonna have to go with MGS3 though. My personal favorite of all time.
