Best game released this year?

Gears of war 3 and or Resistance 3 for me.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron for me. Great atmosphere, characters, plot, gameplay, graphics, music, the works. Loved it.

Either The Witcher 2 or Portal 2. Haven't played Gears 3 but it looks really good as well. KZ3 and R3 have been the biggest disappointments

Really? Going off what you said in the Gears 3 sticky it didn't sound like you enjoyed it that much :?

R3 inches past Crysis 2 for me though. The campaign is one of the genre's finest, and I'm finaly starting to appreciate the multiplayer even though it has some big problems. A few more patches and it should be tons of fun.

So far it´s between The Witcher 2,Shogun 2 and DX HR.

Generally, I liked the campaign. It's near the quality of Gears of war 3. Though, other major releases such as KZ3 etc haven't just lacked content by only providing the campaign experience, but the fact the campaigns where medicore as well.

From what I've played, Deus Ex Human Revolution easily. But Infamous 2, Resistance 3 & LA Noire were fine games too.:) I have yet to play Witcher 2 which SUCKS, but I hardly have time nowadays.:(

Betweeen those, Infamous 2. But overall, it's a tie for me between Witcher 2 and Infamous 2.

Deus Ex let's see if Skyrim, Arkham City, AC Revelations or Rage have something to say about that, but Adam Jensen never chose to be so awesomedoubalfa

Deus Ex: HR and Dead Space 2, though Gears 3 is probably the best made.

I've only bought two games that came out this year: Killzone 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3. I voted Killzone 3.

Hm... out of what I've played, Portal 2 is my favourite still.

I haven't played a lot of things I'm still kinda interested in -- Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Gears of War 3, El Shaddai, Shadows of the Damned (I have it but haven't finished it), and Dead Space 2.

Though, I forgot about some really good stuff -- like Ocarina of Time 3D (never played the original), Pokemon Black and I still want to play Mortal Kombat 9 really badly.

Can't judge, it's not over yet.

However so far, easily The Witcher 2 or Deus Ex Human Revolution. Resistance 3 would've been pretty good if they went all out on SP and didn't even bother including that terrible MP.

I can't choose between LA Noire, Gears 3 and The Witcher 2. All three are really incredible.

Always say it everytime I find one of these threads. :P

Portal 2 for me

I only purchased two games from this year and played three games from this year.

I only played

• Little Big Planet 2 (Purchased)
• Pokemon Black & Pokemon White (Purchased both)
• Killzone 3 (Borrowed)

Out of those I would have to say Pokemon Black and White.

But that could change Tomorrow when I pick up my preorder of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection (I don't know how good they are since I never played them)

Portal 2. Followed by Gears3.

So far, personally: Space Marine. LBP2 is way up there too. There's a lot of games this year I haven't played yet, and still great games coming. I doubt any of that, other than maybe Dark Souls and Skyrim, pass up Space Marine for me. Warhammer 40k destroys everything.

The Withcer 2, best game this gen IMO.
