Mech Platoon (GBA) - Amazing handheld RTS

Abuse (PC) - Great sidescrolling shooter, old though so that might be why it's not mentioned much.

^ This?

I played the first one, and I thought it was fantastic. To be honest though, I never even knew there was a Mystical Ninja 2.

I'm tempted to say Star Control II, but that game has enough of a dedicated following that it doesn't really fit. You also bring up Thrill Kill, which was never officially released, but leaked on the Internet, much like Star Fox 2, Half-Life DC, and Propeller Arena. (If only someone leaked a dump of Dragon Hopper on the Internet, but no one cares about Virtual Boy games...) Rocket Jockey was one of those unique classics that just flew right under the radar, apparently. Dragging people around and tying them to stuff has never been so much fun! Magic Carpet 2 was also one of my childhood favorites, though like its predecessor, it didn't really catch on. Outcast was a pretty nice action-adventure title, though the software-rendered engine in an era of 3D acceleration and 300 MHz CPUs probably hurt the game's sales and reputation. (The software renderer was used because the game's terrain was composed of voxels, which 3D accelerators couldn't work with.) Exile is a very interesting 2D adventure game originally developed for the BBC Micro and later ported to other computers like the Commodore Amiga, and one with surprisingly good physics. The game is full of puzzles, and I'm baffled as to where to go at the moment... Albion was an obscure PC RPG that I've only played a demo of. I ought to actually go through the game and see just how great it really is. I tried playing another obscure PC game called Azrael's Tear, but I couldn't get it to run. (Finally, I need to go and play Emerald Dragon now that the translation patch is out so that I can add it to the list, nevermind the fact that it's for the butchered SNES version and not the definitive FM-TOWNS version.) EDIT: Someone said Carrier Command, which was a great title and had a spiritual sequel of sorts in the form of Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising. I ought to play it again, but I never managed to master the interface. (Also, anyone who knows me well enough would know that I'm into underrated and unknown gems in the rough the most, so I'll be sure to check out a lot of the mentions in here.) EDIT 2: Damn it, I totally forgot about Mole Mania! That was a nice Game Boy title.

The Revenge of Shinobi. No one ever mentions this game, its even on Gamespot's Greatest games of all time list. Everyone liked Shinobi III better, but I will always love the Revenge of Shinobi and its awesome kameos.

But My favorite game of all time is Bully (PS2).

I remember that game. It played surprisingly similar to Front Mission: Gun Hazard, only it made it Stateside and didn't have the RPG elements.

It certainly isn't a bad game. It's pretty enjoyable your first time through, despite it's obvious influences from Gears of War/RE4. Aftertouch was pretty cool though. I rented it and beat it, played online and had to return it. I think too many people have heard about it for it to be "a game that's great that nobody's heard of" though.

Goodness no... Outside of the Revolution forums, you are one of the only people I know of who has played the Broken Sword games. Well, that's a lie - I have seen a few Broken Sword fans around, but the game goes widly unnoticed.

That's too easy. I play games all the time that people have never, ever heard of. But I'll go with Terranigma, Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, and Golvellius.

AH i remember thrill kill. it got cancelled but if you modded your playstation you could get a copy of it to play on it. a leaked/burned copy of course. and then like a year later wutang clan came out that was thrill kill with wu tang character skins and story. the gameplay and gore was exactly the same.
