Hmm. Alan Wake technically doesn't exist then. Would be nice to see something from the game, I do expect it to be one of the best lookers of 2009. But of course the best looking game of 2009 has to be Killzone 2. inertk

Rage looks impressive in some areas and a step back in others. I cannot really blame the game; it's the hardware it is working with. Rage is a cross platform game, that means it is working with the exact same resources as Fallout 3 and Dead Space.

The end result is polygon head here, the graphics are not bad but I don't see it beating the big name titles.

The three games I see leading graphics next year (assuming they come out and there is no competition with last years titles) are the following.

Project Offset.

Alan Wake

Heavy Rain

That is not to say these will be the only games competing visually, I've seen a few potentials like the Futuremark game but there isn't enough media out to be sure.
