What do you think is the best looking game this year?

For me I'm torn between...

I strongly agree with Witcher 2 and Batman being up there in prettiest games around. Not Rage though, the game looks amazing, but only if you are 5 times the normal distance from the screen. I'm split between Witcher 2 and Crysis 2 with patches.

TW2 I guess... too bad it's gameplay's no where near as good as it looks.

Agree with the above. Though I haven't played Rage or The Witcher 2, but from what I've seen they look fantastic.

Arkham City is really amazing. It's pretty insane how much detail there is in games these days, it's really staggering. I still think Skyrim is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. The witcher 2 and batman arkham city are definetly the bestlookin games of the year. altho skyrim is the most beautiful

The Witcher 2

Witcher looks nice in screen shots but has ugly animations and gameplay.

Batman AC of course, looks great, but PC version has that "register, login, blah blah" order the game and download from torrent to avoid hassle

I played Rage on 360, the graphics were nice but the gameplay was totally sweet.

The gunplay was just spot-on, "look and feel" of the guns, they have weight and feel good to shoot.

Graphically "the best" well

I don't really care about that.

I thought Crysis 2 looked incredible but the gameplay was crap.

Why would you list Rage? It looks good for a 60 fps console game, but that's about it.

Rage looks amazing on the 360.

Uncharted 3 and The Withcher 2

where are BF3 and crysis 2? also we all know that uncharted 3 will get the award, simply because GS loves to ignore PC tittles in this categorylightleggy

I'll bite with Crysis 2 since I have it.

The Witcher 2 has incredible graphics and art direction.

I bet Skyrim. For me has the best art and visuals of the year. Technically some games have better tech, but artistically surpases everything.

I thought you were using one of my screen shots of Batman AC then, but its just turns out they are very very similar :lol:

My vote is a tie between Crysis 2, Batman AC, BF3 and Witcher 2. I have all 3 and just cant decide which one looks the best.

Gears of War 3. You can hardly notice the screen tear

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Shogun 2: Total War and Battlefield 3 are the top three in my opinion.

The Witcher 2. Great graphics with an awesome design. Love it.

technically? it's rage without question. to make a game look that gorgeous all while running at 60 fps, carmack knows what the hell he's doing. i know some of the textures are rough but the overall artistic vision of this game takes front seat. the world feels genuine as do the character models, some of the best character models i've ever seen in a videogame. they're so detailed and animated, it shows the artists and developers put alot of work into the final product. i don't care what some of the reviews say, this game is a ****ing gem.

Gameplay is amazing. Enemy AI and animations are some of the best in FPS and the weapons pack a punch. It starts of slow, though. Graphics are incredible, especially in motion. The amount of detail in 1 area beats any other game (for instance, the Dead City has more variation than Crysis does in it's entirety), You're never looking at the same thing twice, except when outside with the rocks. Story kinda sucks but gets interest just before it ends :evil:, so hopefully Rage 2 is coming. Missions are fetch quests but they never last too long and the combat and level design makes up for it. :) Overall it's a good game, maybe 7.5. I really enjoyed it. :D
