hated majoras mask...love the rest but a link to the past will always be my favorite and possibly even my favorite game of all time....great memories with that one, got it when I was in 3rd grade.
Hard to say, I really liked the Wind Waker, and Twilight, and Link to the Past, and Orcarina of Time, and Majora's Mask etc. I can't really say lol as you can see, it depends on how difficult the game was to a player etc to be there favourite. I'd have to pick Orcarina because I still play it, and the puzzles are fun, not to easy or difficult, a large exploration area.
It's either OoT or ALttP. The first game was okay, but Crystalis was superior. The second game is a bit strange, and it's a bit unforgiving-especially when you have to fight that bloody Armos! A Link to the Past was 2D greatness-it returned to the series roots with the overhead view and collectable items, while retaining all the NPCs to talk to and whatnot. Plus, you could THROW SIGNS AT PEOPLE! Ocarina of Time was a damn fine jump into 3D, basically taking what made ALttP great and making it even better. It's also much more cinematic. Twilight Princess was okay. For some reason, I didn't get that charm upon first playing it like I did when I first played OoT. Also, what about games like Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons/Ages, and the like? Even Wind Waker and Majora's Mask get mentioned more than those titles.
A Link to the Past is the best Legend of Zelda. Far too many people say OoT when they have probably not even played A Link to the Past. I have yet to play Majora's Mask but hear it is spectacular and another game that exceeds OoT in terms of originality and quality.
Speaking of The Legend of Zelda, I just found a PC recreation of the original for the NES with added RPG elements, should be good fun.
It's easy to tell the two most superior Zelda games are OoT and LtTP for their respective Generations. OoT is more popular because 3D games are more favoured than 2D games. They are both perfect Zelda iterations of their kind. Imo OoT is not only the best Zelda but the best game. EVAAARRRRGGHHH!!
YOu should have dropped LOZ2: The adventures of Link.... and put in Wind Waker. But I'd say OOT or ALTTP are my personal favs, and coming up just behind them would be TP
