Movie to Game - Goldeneye 007 (obvious choice)
Game to Movie - Silent Hill (second movie sucked though)
Game to TV Series - Mortal Kombat Legacy
TV Series to Game - Walking Dead
By far the best transitions in my opinion. System Wars?

@Heirren:
Ofcourse it was, twas a 1st person shooter.
Wait really? I always thought Walking Dead was a qte fest.
Anyways, I still believe Mortal Kombat is the best game to film adaptation. Sure some of the acting is shoddy but it really captured the tone of the game. Mortal Kombat also has some of the best puppetry ever done on film, in Goro.
Walking Dead started as a comic, so I wouldn't really count it. Same reason I wouldn't count Shadow of Mordor.
Star Wars has some fantastic games.
A lot of these aren't really direct adaptations though, they're just set in the same universe.
@Lulu_Lulu: I would love to hear your definition of a game and how the Telltale games actually aren't games.

verty few explosions, need more michael bay moments to qualify as a game!
The Walking Dead game sucked donkey Balls.
Although I have heard that expression before, today it fuckin cracked me up. Thanks Lu

Dark Athena sucks. The remake (or remaster, more like) of Butcher Bay included in Dark Athena is considered good.

Haven't played Dark Athena yet (it's somewhere in my GOG library) but from what I gathered, it's basically updated visuals of the original Director's Cut without hampering with the design. IIRC, they mostly used the same assets. So not like Doom BFG edition.
Game to TV Series - Clannad After Story (Runner-Up: Steins Gate)
Game to Movie - Steins Gate: Burdened Domain of Deja Vu (Runner-Up: Ace Attorney)
Movie to Game - Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (Runner-Up: GoldenEye 007)
TV Series to Game - Tatsunoko vs Capcom (Runner-Up: The Walking Dead)
Movie to game = Jurassic Park on Genesis.
Game to movie = Prince of Persia
TV Show to game = Star Trek
Game to TV show = none that I've seen
I think that Prince of Persia was a good movie. I wouldn't mind a second one.
I wouldn't call Telltale's Walking Dead a TV show to a game transition since:
a) The Walking Dead started as a comic.
b) The Telltale game is not based on the TV show, is a different story that takes place on the same univerese, however as far as i know, it doesn't even specify if it is on the same universe as the TV show or the comic.
Anyway, from TV show to a game it has to be Stick of Truth and is not even a contest.
@rosko123:
That one is not a game.
While i'm agree that is more of an interactive story, or a visual novel, in the end and for all intents and purposes, Telltale's Walking Dead is a video game in the strict sense of the word.
However, Survival Insitnct is indeed the game that is directly based from the TV show.
@madsnakehhh:
Nope, not game..... calling it a game just undermines how great an experience it really is.
Well, then yes, i just undermine the experience because it is without any doubt, a video game, i mean you can die, you push buttons, you have objectives, save points, etc.
A hell of a game, but a video game in the end, and one of my favorite games from last gen.

1) This is not a comic book to game thread (it started on TV before becoming a video game)
2) It doesn't have to be based on the TV show.
Why are you making up random rules? Go start your own nazi thread.

I'll try to use answers no one else have used.
Movie to Game - Alien 3 (SNES) or Tron Arcade game.
Game to Movie - Hitman - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0465494/?ref_=nv_sr_2 or Mortal Kombat: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113855/?ref_=nv_sr_2
Game to TV Series - Sonic the Hedgehog - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106140/?ref_=nv_sr_4
TV Series to Game - Naruto: Rise of a Ninja / Naruto: The Broken Bond (plus about 10 other games).
@Lulu_Lulu: I would love to hear your definition of a game and how the Telltale games actually aren't games.
No, you wouldn't. Please don't encourage him. He'll try to act all smart and sophisticated and drown you in a torrent of nonsensical bullshit.

Say whatever you want, Telltale Walking Dead has almost 0 to do with the TV show and the title of the thread says "best movie tv series to game", want to talk about games based on the TV show TWD (you know, as your own thread says) talk about Survival Instinct.
Anyway, i couldn't care less about your thread, the best TV show to game transitions is still Stick of Truth, so whatever.
@madsnakehhh:
Placing death or failure at the end of a QTE segment does not make it a game, especially if there's no consistency to them.
As for pushing buttons and save points you can do that on Note pad....
Now the Wolf Among Us on the other hand, is more or less a game-ish, sort of.... its difficult to say for sure.

Thanks for adding your incoherent definition of a game. Would you care to outline a game explicitly? By that, I mean everything that makes a game... Let's see if it stands up to any legitimate definition.
