The greatest online shooters have great maps to go along with them.

Let's try our best to limit it to 1 map per game (not series though).

My guess is that it will come from one of these series: Counter Strike, Halo, Unreal Tournament, or Call OfDuty.

I forget its name but it was a map from the Quake 1 shareware version.

A round area with an upper level and a lower level. In the middle was a big lava pit and you could look across and see the upper and lower level (no inner wall). The floor had elevators and holes to fall through to the lower part or jump over. It was just a massive fragfest with people shooting all over the place and rockets flying at you from across the stage.

Halo 1 - Blood Gulch, Hang em High, That snowy map

Halo 2 - Headlong, Waterworks, Zanzibar

Halo 3 - Sandtrap, all the maps in the heroic map pack

TF2 - Only played one map but I guess my favorite would be the desert map

Killzone 1 - Beachhead, Canyon Crossing, and Park Terminal

Killzone: Liberation - Trenches, docks, and airfield

Anybody who played Return to Castle Wolfenstein on the PC would know that Tram deserves to be on the list.

And I also must give credit to Sidewinder, which has been my favorite Halo map. Great for CTF and the enviroment is just awesome looking.
