The title should specify this as a "JRPG" thread since it obviously doesn't deal with non-linear WRPG's.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner
One of those four. And personally, they are far better than most S-E offerings, including FF. The only ones that come close to comparing are Chrono Trigger/Cross, Vagrant Story and Parasite Eve 1&2.

It doesn't really, it looks more like SO3 then SO2.

I don't understand where all the hype for WKC comes from, the game looks crap and generic. Or maybe it's just the rabid cow fanboys desparate for a good RPG. I pick Star Ocean out of that list.
I'm confident that WKS and VC will be better than any SE game (other than their ports)
They look far better than FFX-2,FFXI,FFXII, DoC,CC, etc.

IMO that isn't saying much FFXII was the only decent FF title to come since FFIX besides there FF: Tactics PSP port and FFIV remake. That's my point actually, I'm not going to say it'll beat the crap out of Dark Cloud 2 or DQVIII :P
I'm not confident about that, FFT was a masterpiece to begin with so the port would be one as well hence why I say it'll be better than anything from them other than ports. Squaresoft knew how to make games, Square-Enix know how to release average experiences that get high scores. I think FFX was much better than FFXII though even though it was as linear as hell.

um, isnt tri-ace one of SE's CORE development teams? I mean They made Valkyrie Profile 1,2 Star Ocean 2,3, now 4, and Radiata Stories. All published by SE.
With that out of the way, the tales system has a pretty decent battle system(though boring at times) and a pretty decent story, so i'll go with that.

I'm not saying it wasn't a hit or disappointing.
