Is it April again? I disagree with your statement. It is very annoying how all of your threads will hype games, but twist it in a fanboyish way to where they seem worse than they are.

So sick of hearing this, sorry but have you ever played an FPS before? It doesn't take skill to shoot people in any FPS! All you do is point and aim, mastering it is were skill comes, and I'd sure as hell rather master a fun fast paced FPS like MW2 than something slow paced like Halo, where it just ends up feeling scrappy because you're having to chase people around to kill them...

I love fast paced shooters, but COD4's multiplayer is nothing to brag about, It has some problems, and people notice it on this forum. Plus out of all the shooters I've played since 1997 and onwards, it's way too easy to shoot down people in COD4.

Along with taking your opponent down, COD4 is one of the easiest ones, why can't people see that?

COD 4 offset its faster pace with even more "noob" friendly mechanics. Nothing about the game takes any major skill, so many things can offset personal flaws....it is almost too easy to get a large killing streak going. its a good game, very well designed mp, but I wouldn't call it the best ever just the most accessable.

There are still games like Counter Strike where it takes some skills (but not too much) to kill someone

the amount of bullets someone takes is more or less a design choice and can make sense in other games...for instance in Halo 3 its just part of the mechanics..and the game never went for full realism. COD 4 though the shooting mechanics have very little penalty, and almost all the assault rifles have very little to no recoil the M-16 is overpowered, its like a god damn sniper rifle Not enough of a penalty when you are using a sniper rifle, especially when you mix it with Double Tap. Double Tap+50 cal=Massive killing streak. Maryrdom, Last Stand, etc, etc all the other perks that take the gritty feel of COD 4 and make the MP arcady(not necessarily a bad thing, but it does come off as very noob friendly). Its not a bad game, its just it honestly takes very little skill to be good at. You can be blind and be good at it.

ugh I hated that campaign as far as replayablity. Its just so SCRIPTEd...and after that it just comes off as average. The AI is just dumb for the most part. Then there is the horrible enemy respawn. Instead of making Veteran fun, thrilling, and rewarding it made veteran tedious, cheap and frustrating. The whole game as a whole was a nice package though, its fun. It does that alot. Its overhyped as a game in terms of how so many people said its "deep' and how its "skill" oriented. Both Lies to be quite honest, but its such a well designed game. I thought COD 4 was a great game, in spite of so many flaws. If they fine tune the shooting mechanics, and balance it out better this time Modern Warfare 2 could be amazing....

Those are the same problems I have with it, but I did like some of of the missions, despite all it's flaws, it still a good game, LOL. And I would want that for MW2 as well.

I disagree. I think the scripting makes the campaign an action packed adrenaline rush the first time through, but absolutely strips it of any replay value whatsoever.

Lookds decent, but no way better then Unreal2k4, Quake1, Tea Fortress Classic, Team Fortress2 or Counterstrike Source. COD4 couldnt compete with those games and I doubt thsi new one will.

But I will give it a chance.

They really have to fix the dang spawn system, its awful. I mean how the heck can you spawn into your own airstrike!! :| And the multi is a little noob friendly

I don't know what it is exactly, if the culprit is the recoil or something else, but COD is easily the easiest FPS to get headshots and get out of "two vs you" situations. COD4 is really a point and shoot FPS, it's way to noob friendly.

Extremely noob friendly, I think thats why people enjoy COD4 so much. Its easy to get good at COD4, you can have not played the game for 6 months and still come back and do very well. You can also play the game for the first time and do very well.

Most overrated online game this gen? COD4 Most definatly
