Best overall console this gen?

The Wii is selling the best but I hate the Wii with it's kiddie games and last gen graphics....IMO the 360 is best and the FACT is it's doing better than ps3 this gen. honestly for M$ to even be in the position their in is nothing short of amazing considering how badly they started off with the Xbox 1 and even with all the faulty 360's they are still beating the PS3, this my friends is why bill gates is so rich b/c he isn't afriad of anything.Toyeboy

The Best overall, for me, would be the PS3.

Its got

~Reliability

~Decent games

~A pretty decent free online with all the features. No need to pay money to get extra features

~Is a pretty good media hub.

~ Decent online community

~An ultra sexy exterior.

~However, the lack of some online features, and the lack of having a wider selection of games are some of its biggest downfalls.

The Xbox360 has

~A really good selection of high rated games

~A stellar online service

~However, the reliability, price for the online, and the fact you have to buy some extra attachments to make it as functional as the PS3 at times, are some of its downfalls as well.

The Wii has

~A few gems, in the sea of not so great, but good for a good laugh or a few minutes of fun worth of games.

~More user friendly, with many things clearly labeled, and simplified menus to be simple for anyone to use

~An acess to a great variety of games from the past. I like the feature, even though it costs some money, it is totally worth it.

~ However, the lack of games that appeal to those who like blood and gore kind of sucks, and the pretty terrible to non exsistant online are huge downfalls.

However, it really depends on you're desires and needs when it comes to the other consoles.

I think the PS3 is good for everyone. That may just be my personal preference really shining through, but honestly, its the one that appeals the most to me and most of my friends.

Everyone needs to decide for themselves. No console really has a total advantage over all the other consoles like last gen did.

With no bias and total honesty I would have to say the Xbox 360 is the best console SO FAR by a close margin. Sony had a killer 2008 and 2009 looks like its going to be even better but Microsoft has had the better multiplatforms, bigger announcements, more solid exclusives and to back it all up great sales. I will say right now the momentum is definitely in the PS3's favor and it could swoop in for the kill next year if all its exclusives deliver.

The Wii has trounced both when it comes to appealing to the casual gamer though.
