Oh yea! Forgot about Advance Wars. Definitely the best portable strategy game. Loved the fact that you could play with a friend with only 1 gameboy.
Yea, and Pokemon Blue, sweet RPG. I remember that rare candy cheat/glitch, lol.
Probably Daigasso! Band Bros. for DS
Elite Beat Agents, Advance Wars: Dual Strike, the remakes of NES and SNES Mario games, Pokemon, and Lumines are close

Silver for me. With Dragon Warrior: Monsters 2 coming in close second, while Link's Awakening DX takes up third.
Dragon Warrior: monsters 2 was a great game of the pokemon quality, cept without the pokemon. I can still remember playing it for countless hours... Definatly up there too.I'll get back to you onceI finish Zelda: PH kthxbai.
but out of all the handhelds games I played and beaten so far...nothing can top pokemon gold/silver/crystal. That is where the series peaked.
[QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, anyone?SetsaDoS was better... *runs*
[QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, anyone?Sir-Marwin105Dawn of Sorrow was easily the superior. :| I beat Dawn of Sorrow on Normal, Julius and Hard mode and I am about to beat Portrait of Ruin for the first time. I love both but PoR is the clear winner for me. I have no idea why everyone holds DoS in higher regards.
I've been a fan of Pokemon games, but the thing is that after you beat the game and get the pokemon you want, you start to lose motivation. I mastered Pokemon Blue Version, and I was pretty close to doing the same on silver until one of my sister's friends got a hold of it when I was taking a break from it and erased my file, made a new one, and saved the game :x
After that I didn't play a pokemon game for 6 years. Recently I broke that when I bought Pokemon Diamond version earlier this year.
I beat the game and got the pokemon I wanted, but I didn't really feel like mastering the game. Sure it was a fun game, but it can get really tiring. o_o
The game I probably spent most time on is Advance Wars DS. The most addicting handheld game I've ever played. Every time I have to go somewhere I bring my DS and AWDS with me.
Links Awekening was also extreamly fun and a complete Zelda experience.
Metroid Fusion also ranks as one of my favorite handheld game ever made topping Zero Mission by a slight edge.
Tetris. Nothing will ever beat Tetris for me, in terms of sheer simplicity that you can play for hours on a plane. It's exactly what portable games should be. excelR83
definetly one of the best handheld games ever. but it requires time. one of the most important things about being portable is, it needs to be something that youre able to put down just as quickly as you can pick up. once you start tetris, the only way you can put it down is to lose.
thats why i chose pokemon. you pick it up real quick, have a battle, save, and turn it off. and youve actually accomplished something by doing this. tetris is fun as hell and i love it, but theres no point. all you do after a while is try to beat your high score. theres no real end.
My top 3 portale games would have to be
