best puzzle game this gen by far!

i just finished playing Braid and i have to say, not only is the story thought provoking when you finish it and actually understand what it is about, but the gameplay is amazing, it really makes you think to solve many of the puzzles and you feel so good finishing it. the graphics are also amazing since this game was developed to be 1080p naitive, its so gorgeous and i definitely prefer this over many 3D games today

Nah best puzzle this gen goes to Portal 2.

As a puzzle game World of Goo is probably the best this gen,Braid has puzzles,yes,but it´s a 2D platformer. :)

Oh,and Portal 2 of course!

World of Goo disagrees.

As far as puzzle games go this gen, Professor Layton is where it's at.

Braid had neat mechanics, but the pretentious presentation drew away from the experience.

Anyways I thought Braid was pretty good, but too short. The ending was pretty awesome, one of the best ever in the games I've played.

I dunno i quite like that game you get with your 360 think its called Hexic...mind you theres been reiterations of tetris this gen so that instantly has won in my heart.

Wow... going to this thread makes me realize how much I LOVE puzzle games.

I haven't played Braid... but given that puzzle games are my second favorite genre after 2D platformers, looks like I need to go download it.

Also, @ActicEdge, thanks for posting the Zack & Wiki pic. Also one of the best puzzle games this gen. I have a big place in my heart for that game. (*Imagines what it would be like on the Wii U...*)

oh boy I forgot about Meteos! It's definitely in the top four. Portal 2 is the best, but Meteos, Braid, and Portal 1 are all great games too.

Wow, I was expecting to see any other puzzler outside of Braid (and would've ensued to say "No, that's Braid"), but good choice, man, I completely agree. A beautiful, smart, charming puzzler with some of the most mind-bending puzzles I've ever played.
