Best "last boss" battle? (SPOILER warning)

What is the best last boss fight you have experienced in a game before? Just curious, thats all.

Mine would be the Old Snake and Liquid Ocelot fight from MGS4. I liked how they respected each other even though they were fist fighting till the death. I also loved how the gameplay mechanics completely switched from a tactical third person shooter, to a fighter.

Yeah. That games so good, same as the first 2 Dooms, gotta love playing the first few FPS and seeing how different things are compared to now. I preferred the older oens to be honest, Quake and Unreal Tournament, Serious Sam Duke Nukem, back when FPS' were about the fun.

The final boss in Shadow of the Colossus was pretty epic the first time I saw it. Playing through it was a little meh, but seeing it that first time was like... :shock::o

MGS4's final battle was amazing. My favorite last boss is probably "The Boss" from MGS3.

I also like KH2's final battle and the cutscene thereafter.

I thought it as payback for the Library.

The whole ending sequence in MGS. Also did anyone who played Gears did not like the ending, i wanted something more epic! :ocifru

The MGS4 fist fight between Snake and Liquid ontop of the submarine was prity Epic. It was cool how the names and music changed as it went through each game.EVOLV3

True. I dont know what it was about that last fight, but the graphics were unbelievable, i thought it was real.

zelda OOT, Metroid Prime, MGS3 all have great end bosses

i didn't like MGS4's last fight too much .. didn't like how the final fight was basically a fighter, though it made sense story-wise

The Boss from MGS3 by a long shot. Heartfelt battle to the death, only game I've cried in, in recent memory.

Then, Tyrant (RE1)

Then, Metroid Prime.

Then, God Of War had some epic boss battles, too many good ones to name just one.

Seriously, that was just amazing. Everything, the whole game was leading up to that one moment. So brutal...

I'd have to go with MGS4's ending... not because the battle was especially epic, but because you knew it was the last battle you'd have as Solid Snake ya know. The battle featured music from the previous games, and then the "Old Snake" theme from MGS4.

Just awesome how Hideo tied it all up together, the battle felt so appropriate... as weak as that sounds to characterize the ending as. lol.

For sure Metal Gear Solid 4, that was the most epic last battle ever.

Also, oh my god, I remember playing OoT. The Ganon fight was sooooo amazing, I loved the whole game and it came to a head in the other best final boss of all time.

Glados was funny in Portal, that is a distant three, probably not but its the first thing to come to my head.
